I was prepared to win 2/4 of UF, UGA, Bama, and Aggy. I was not prepared for this.

The thing is, people should be livid. We should have high expectations for this program. This loss was inexplicable.
Calling for coaches heads is pretty terrible, and Miles isn't going anywhere, but people should be livid after this loss.
If they weren't we would have a much bigger problem on our hands.

LSU fans are paying Ruth's Chris prices and getting the product of a steak from Chilli's.
And then told that we have the audacity to demand better.

Les Miles is Mack Brown, LSU is Texas. Lots of talent but 8,9,10 wins is all you get, which isnt bad if you are building but we arent building, so people are pissed off. Oh and nothing will change except the cost of going to a game and maybe Miles gets another extension.

As frustrating as Miles can be, he is one of the best coaches in the nation and I guarantee there are 100 other programs who would love to be in our position right now. Think before you post.
In your opinion, what is so frustrating about Miles?
Is it that Miles is still clueless about game-time management?
Is it that Miles benches your best RB in the second half?
Is it that Miles is so clueless about defense that he can't suggest calling a few blitzes to help out your defensive coordinator, who is exhibiting classic symptoms of alzheimers--Down and Distance: hello!

This is my first time back since Friday and I'm not reading for hours to know what was said or unsaid.
Our QB lost the game, plain and simple. He was forcing throws downfield when underneath routes were open or could have just thrown it away.
Ole Miss was good enough to keep us from recovering from the 3 INTs in the first half.
Could the staff have pulled him in sooner ? Sure, but I'm sure he was coached on the sidelines while he was wearing the headset.
Wallace had the best game of his career, Mett had aguably his worse. We lost. Next game. Geaux Tigers.

many also would understand a loss to Bama a&m and even UGA
People lost their minds last year after losing to 11-1 UF and eventual national champion Alabama in the final minute. Same thing with UGA this year.

we just lost in a very ugly way
This statement is crap. People are pissed that LSU lost, plain and simple. And that is normal after this weekend.
But what is bullshite is people jumping from that disappointment to idiotic statements like FIRE EVERYONE. LSU IS ON THE DECLINE. WHY ARE FANS SATISFIED WITH MEDIOCRITY. It's not ugly losing, it's just losing that people can't handle.
LSU is 49-12 since 2009. 9 of those losses were in conference play (13 win UF, MNC Alabama, OM, MNC Auburn, 10 Win Arkansas, 11 Win UF, MNC Alabama, pre injury top 10 UGA, and OM again).
There are 3 losses that are just unacceptable since 2009. Two OM games and Bama in the BCSNCG. The team didn't show up in any of those games and deserve criticism for those performances. But are people really wanting to run off Miles et al because of three bad losses in 4+ years?
Goddamn. This ain't a videogame or mathematical formula. Other teams have division 1 athletes and coaches too.

Why is that funny? Of course we're better than the teams from the max and sun belt. Clearly you're fine with that.
We should want to be better than teams that actually matter (aka top 25). We are mediocre compared to those teams.
I'm a fan. I root. I don't demand. I root. Even if LSU de-emphasized athletics and stopped granting scholarships and moved to Division III, I'd be a fan all the same.
Count the good times, and then count the wins and losses. If you depend on a certain amount of wins to give you the good times you're looking for, you'll never be happy. You and I are supposed to watch this stuff for fun and nothing more. And it's fun no matter what the record is if you have your head in the right place.

It was mentioned in an earlier post, but it was a great point: How many years under Les has the team improved as the season went on?
"Righting wrongs" ain't gonna happen.
2005: Hard to talk about "improving" since the schedule was so messed up, but after several grueling close games, by far the biggest win of 2005 was on 11/12 on the road against undefeated Alabama, followed by a 40 point road beatdown of Ole Miss. The SECCG loss hurt but the team was playing an 11th game in less than 10 weeks. If the "out of gas" explanation ever fit, it was this season. But the 05 team certainly improved over the 2004 team.
2006: Team clearly improved. Playing like the best team in the country at the end of the year after two early losses.
2007: Started about as great as any team could with two huge dominant wins, got a little worn down after an all time classic slobber knocker against Florida, but absolutely bounced back in the SECCG with a backup QB after a demoralizing loss, and team looked like the team we saw early on in the BCSCG.
2008: Absolutely got worse as the year went on.
2009: Stayed about the same, but looked awful early against Vandy and MSU, but then beat UGA on the road, played Florida and Bama better than anyone expected and crushed Auburn in our best game of the year, then bounced back to win a crazy finale after the Ole Miss meltdown.
2010: 100% improved as the year went on.
2011: Got better and better after as we crushed the SEC schedule in October, beat the #2 team on the road, mercy knee in Oxford, crushed the #3 team in the finale, and crushed UGA in ATL for the SECCG, until The Rematch.
2012: Absolutely improved. After the Auburn, Towson, and Florida games, many legitimately thought we could lose 5 or 6 games.
But forget facts, it's easier to just throw out cliches like Miles teams never improve over the course of the year

Just go root for them if you want to be just like them.
Are you serious? You don't understand that people want to win the nc every year? Then you say only one program does that. Why can't we want to be that one program? Don't say it can't be done when it's being done by a team in our own division.
Posted on 10/21/13 at 12:39 pm to MC5601
We lost to a depleted ole miss team without their number one recruit in country...and should have gotten soundly beaten had they not given us three turnovers I think it's justified people are upset that was probably the worst loss in Miles era.

????? Great seasons over the past few years? From 2008 to 2o13 we have one sec title. Is that worth 4.6 million a year? Really? Even if he can get one every 4 years like from 07 to 2011 is that worth it? With our facilities and recruiting base?
