When it comes to a fanbase, LSU's is about as gooffy-stupid as they come.

The good news is, if Jefferson is unable to go, at least Lee won't get booed nearly as much when playing at Ole Miss.

It happens to every coach. Coach Bryant had two consecutive 5 loss seasons, 1969 and 1970. Fans were grumbling (but there was no internet in those days).

Miles is a good coach, you can't win a NC if you're incompetent. He's also a great recruiter. LSU is playing better this year than last (in my opinion). It was just one of those late season games following an emotional rivalry game against a lesser opponent. It's by definition--a trap game.

LSU was the most deserving team that season, and Les Miles was the coach that got us there. You are apparently incapable of giving credit where credit is due. There is no point in continuing this conversation with you.

Okay you can continue to settle for mediocrity. Les Miles' coaching has been less than stellar since he has been at LSU. Too many close calls to count. LSU was a WVU win away from not being in the national title game that year. I'm so sick of hearing that Les Miles is the reason we won the title in '07. I question decisions on a consistent basis by Miles since he started here at LSU.

In '06, the BEST team in the history of LSU, Les couldn't even get us to the title game.

They are playing better because of a Defensive Coordinator change. Les Miles' made a horrible hire from within, I don't really see how he thought those 2 lamers would succeed at DC. Our defense is still getting gashed for big plays, and the overall team plays like a bunch of pussies with the exception of maybe a player or 2 (Patrick Peterson).

An 11 win season is not mediocre. Neither is a 10 win season, even at a top tier program.

LSU wasn't even the best team in the SEC this season. And it is moronic to act like getting into the championship game is any small feat.

This was just how the BCS worked back then...you realize that was a one loss team...our last one.

Yeah. The BCS was fricked up that year. No way Oklahoma should have played in the NC game right after losing their conference.

October 3rd, LSU defeats the #18 team in the country. Dec. 31st of last year LSU beat #14 GA Tech. On September 20th of that year, LSU defeated the #10 team in the country on the road. And then there was January 7th, 2008.

In 2007 we needed #1 Mizzou to lose to OU, who had two losses just like us. We needed WVU to lose to a pathetic Pitt team. It's amazing how the refs shamelessly tried to give WVU the win at that. We then jumped UGA by virtue of winning the SEC championship game, with which I had no problem.

We saw how great Auburn turned out to be last year. Same with Georgia this year.

The #10 team on the road? WTF Auburn wasn't even a top 25 team last year. We better beat GA Tech. That was a game we were SUPPOSED to win. GA Tech was ranked so highly because they play in a mediocre ACC.

I'm talking about when was the last time LSU won a BIG game where LSU doesn't OVERPOWER the other team with talent.

The answer is 2007. It's been 2 years.

I would like this idiot to define mediocrity in regard to Les Miles' record at LSU.

There were only a handful of coaches who were a WVU win away from not being in the national title game that year and Miles is the only coach who got us there.

Furthermore, the geeks at Michigan want to tar and feather the coach you are referring to at WVU. Some things never change.

LSU was the underdog. Tech was the 4 point favorite. Look it up. I now feel better knowing that all this flailing that you have been doing is because you simply don't know what you are talking about. Anyways, I'm done - enjoy being miserable.

Mediocrity in terms of LSU. Record means nothing. We are sitting at number 3 in the SEC having lost 2 games where the coaching was piss poor.

Go ahead and post Les Miles' overall record while at LSU, because I know this is a popular argument for you people. Les can't win the big game here now, the record doesn't show that.

Why settle for McDonalds when you can have filet mignon?

This team has no attitude or toughness anymore.

I don't care who was the favorite. If LSU played in the ACC or the Big Ten every year, we would lose 1 game at the most.
