I love the I formation...the key is sprinkling it in and running a variety of plays from it. Power run, play action, short throws, deep throws. It's been a great formation for us this year, our fullback has been a real weapon in the passing game.

After 4 or 5 Offensive Coordinators in 10 years, we're running the same exact plays. It will not change.

jimbos fault! crowtons fault! krags fault! studs fault!

who is the common denominator? exactly.

I have always liked the "I formation" attack better than a spread attack. However, our "I formation" attack involves no misdirection. Everyone knows who's getting the ball; and, when the fullback reaches behind his butt and signals a direction for the tailback, it kinda telegraphs that we have a running play coming up. When no signals are given, I think the opposition can sense that a pass play is ahead.

With the way our offense is run, Dak Prescott (nor Cam Newton) would never be allowed to run the ball, if he/they were our quarterback.

Hester, Scott, Ridley, and Hill just to name a few have enjoyed great success running out of the I.

You don't just abandon it when you have the stable of backs that we have. Did you not see how deadly the 2-RB I was week before last?
