This is the worst idea I've seen yet

If bbap and LSUR were in charge, LSU would have played App State in 2008 as scheduled because it is on TV!
Your obsession with me is flattering....and amusing.

Outside of the Olympics where time zones dictate live to tape, the concept probably died about 30 years ago. People generally want to see live sporting events live.

I actually was asking a serious question I don't know the answer to. So could the downvoters please explain?

I'm not a big baseball guy. I'm trying to get more into it but I'm pretty ignorant about these things

Your logic is that something on tv can't be moved up. I demonstrated at LSU where something on tv was, in fact, moved up. You, predictably, got your feeling hurt. The cycle continues.

The explanation is, that in today's world, no one watches tape delayed games. Might as well not even show it.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but live sports are sought by advertisers because the outcome isn't predetermined and people are more likely to watch commercials. If you go live to tape, the property becomes much less valuable. The reality is, live to tape for North American sporting events isn't really going to be an option.

Or, put it on the SEC Alt network channel.
You know they can't forfeit that frickin blank screen airing 24-7.
Such a waste.

I've never said a TV game can't be moved up.

I've said it's not as easy as the OP seems to think it is to move up a game a few hours before game time.

A NCAA tournament game is NOT like a little league game attended by a few dozen parents.

My feelings aren't hurt. On the contrary, as I said, your obsession with me is flattering....

If anyone else had made the point, he would have just downvoted it and moved on. Because I made it and one time I called him out for downvoting, he's taking it personal. Same thing every time.

We're going to be fine. It's less than 50% chance all through game time. It'll be spotty.

He said something about having ads to sell. He was in a tough spot. Damn softball game! I'm not sure if he had to do it or what. I remember following the game on here and leaving the tv broadcast behind.
