What pocket?

If I had to call it I'd say Myles will start but the oline will let him down. He will get pulled after the first loss.

The defense was more dismal than Myles’s third down and red zone stats. And if you don’t think that makes a difference with any quarterback, you’re delusional too.

Great argument except Max was last in 3rd down passing on the team. That's including Finley.

Well a large fraction of LSU fans didn’t want Miles fired either

Based on available evidence, Brennan appears to be a slightly more accurate version of Mettenberger running a better scheme than was available to Mettenberger in 2012-2013. Like Zach, Myles cannot avoid trouble, cannot extend plays, and cannot get cheap first downs with his feet. Like Zach, Myles does not appear to be a natural, vocal leader. That does not mean Myles cannot be effective and even potentially prolific. But like Zach, Myles will need at least two NFL-caliber receivers to get open quickly and consistently, and will need a dominant rusher like Jeremy Hill to emerge. I don't see anyone fitting that bill in 2021 other than Boutte.

Win/Loss?
Worst defense in LSU history and you choose this?

Disregarding win/loss stat because of the worst defense in LSU history, Myles had 11/3 TD to INT ratio. If Burrow hadn't been the QB the year before, LSU fans would've given their first born for that stat line. Anyone thinking Myles is mediocre is an idiot. Also keep in mind this is with above average play calling and dropped passes.

Mannn.
Let me start but saying I was 100% in the Myles camp.
I skipped to minute-18 of said video and watched from there. My God he holds the ball toooo long.
Receivers are open. But he’s not delivering the ball on time..he’s holding it until they are starting their break..that’s too long.
Then he has to pull it down and bail but he’s not the shiftiest of the shifties.
Awe shite.
Hopefully o-line play is better this year but bro, hit that first open man and throw that thing earlier & let’s keep it movin.
It’s like the pass isn’t in-stride with the route/receiver..yea it’s still a catch, even tho it’s awkward/alittle more difficult.
And this wouldn’t seem like a big deal..but it is.
I’m not changing my pick due to new/renewed offense, senior o-line, better D....but the leash is present and it’s short.

Max should then get some credit for going 2-0 as a starter despite having the worst defense in LSU history.

Brennan is not the statue Mett was. If you watch that video you’ll see that Brennan was about as mobile as Max until he gained all that weight. Last year he moved slower, but he was still far more mobile than Mett.
Hopefully he has gotten used to that weight and can move a little quicker, because I think he will be the QB. He is an NFL talent.

Is that possible? How about he lose a little weight?

Still looks jumpy in the pocket.

Only one thing fans would rather do than win and that is argue over the starting QB.
Either of the Quarterbacks can take us to a championship, if they have the supporting cast.
We have one proven championship quality WR.
No proven TE
No proven running back
Suspect OL
Questionable defense
Yet the position under attack is QB

Brennan did take over. He threw for 375 yards and 4 td a game and set school records before he got hurt.

He looked like a deer in the headlights that first game. They had wideouts running open all over the place and he didn’t see them. He was a main factor in us losing. Stats are for losers. Qbs have to have situational awareness.
Myles did look more comfortable right before he got hurt. Max looked in control from his first snap. Just going by the eye test, max looked like the 4th year player and Myles the frosh…..
