When it's all said and done, Etling will have produced more in terms of numbers and production than Brennan. Danny Etling is better than most think.

Danny Etling will be a first round pick, according to Danny Etling.

Some of Danny's numbers are as good as Hodson when he made 1st Team All SEC. You can compare the numbers.

I loved Etling's moxie and TR doesn't give him enough credit bc of his obvious shortcomings, but that dude was good.

To compare him to a QB in the 80's is a stretch though. Since 2000, there have only been 3 yardage passing leaders in the NCAA with less than 4,800 yards. In the 1980's, the highest was Andre Ware at 4699, and only 4 guys got over 4,000 during the decade. Just a little bit different...

Glad to hear Danny is better than most people think. Okay will give you that but what I don't understand is the need to try and devalue a young man who hasn't done anything as of yet. Why don't you let Brennan show us all what he is and what he isn't before trying to show us all how smart you are. Would be nice for a change that as LSU fans we support players in the program and let them find their way before piling on just for the fun of it.

I have great respect for Etling, but it's obvious the playbook had to be modified due to his skill set. Refusing to throw crossing routes, deep ins, limited intermediate routes and basically ignoring the middle of the field put our offense at a disadvantage. Defenses could cheat because they knew there were plays and areas they didn't have to defend.

That will change with Brennan. He has the ability to throw with velocity, has a quick release and is a very good timing/rhythm QB. He will take time to develop and there will be mistakes. We also will have a new WR1 and WR2 so there will be timing and adjustments.

The key will be SE's ability to bring him along quickly without putting him in a bad position and allowing him to make occasional mistakes and not handcuffing the offense. Gotta find that balance.

I hope this is not the case because it will show that we really suck at the qb position.

Good kid, great Tiger but he had his opportunity. Let the next one have his
