Nothing we don't already know, but Ouch...

ESPN

•This was a comeback or a crash, depending on your point of view, but from the neutral bird's eye, it looked more like a crash. LSU was 0 for its last 12, hitting its last field goal with 10:26 left in the game, and missed six consecutive free throws in the final three minutes. LSU stopped attacking the rim with gusto, settling for layups instead of going to the rack with authority, and that opened the door for the Wolfpack, who happily charged through it.

•The Wolfpack will pose some problems for Villanova in their second-round game on Saturday. They've got more size inside and have good shooters to match the Wildcats' offensive firepower. But NC State can ill afford another slow start because unlike LSU, Villanova won't fall apart.

Not really anything "ouch" about anything that you posted. LSU did fall apart in that game. There is absolutely no other way to put it.

But this has happened all year. Not surprising at the least. Reoccurring theme.

i see it as a choke. nc state did nothing but run with the opportunity given to them by LSU and their lack of made free throws and shots taken at the end of the game. it is as simple as that.

Main problem was no true leader on this team. Looked to me that when they realized they had this game, they took the foot off the gas and they played scared to lose. In these times you need a go to guy. Mickey and Quarteman only 2 that tried all the rest just standing around

but, not against "good" competition. It was a reoccurring theme against trash teams.

folks can say what they want, but Jones can coach up a team to play hard. situational awareness is Jones' only problem.

Yep, the first half I didn't know who that team was. The end of the game looked more familiar.

I think he's referring to Mickey not going up strong on his missed 2-foot bunny hop. Go back and watch how weak that attempt was. When I saw it live I couldn't believe how soft he looked. Could also be referencing Josh Gray getting his sh*t thrown on a lazy layup attempt.

The powers that be on this site frown upon copying and pasting a whole article. Thats why I gave the link. Those 2 were the hilights though.

I actually said outloud to the TV "WTF was that?" I'm glad I didn't wake my kids.
