Yeah, but the more they smoke, the worse they get at math. So that 1/4 could become as much as 10/9, if the wrong people are entering the data from the study.
In his world 25% = 50%. I'm guessing he failed remedial Math.

How many of that 25% are randomly drug tested throughout the year?
And how many are dumb enough to fail a random drug test twice?

well done...I was just looking up something to back up what i said and thats the first thing i found...the point is a lot of people smoke weed, and i was trying to show people it is common and it shouldnt be villainized like some were doing.

how dumb do you have to be to fail a drug test? certain steps can be taken to pass them.

I agree but when you are in a situation like these two guys were then you have to act accordingly.

I don't have a problem with weed. At all. I actually think it should be completely legal.
That said, it's not. And it's against the law and against LSU team rules. And taking that it account and the fact that it's going to embarrass everyone if you break those rules, they should know better and understand that their actions affect a lot more people than just themselves.
They are held to a higher standard than normal people. That's a part of being a representative of LSU.

Now that you say that, I'm beginning to think Congress, and maybe all politicians are smoking weed.

If I played for a coach that painstakingly suspended two great QB's in the last four years, I would make darn sure I follow the law, team rules, and NCAA rules. No excuse for this. None.

Teach the players a life lesson. Its simply a teachable moment for the coaching staff.

so i got to thinking what the NCAA rules were on Drug testing and so forth. I found this.
this is Form 11-3f Academic Year 2011-12
Drug-Testing Consent ? NCAA Division III
Consequences for a Positive Drug Test.
By signing this form, you affirm that you are aware of the NCAA drug-testing program, which provides:
1. A student-athlete who tests positive shall be withheld from competition in all sports for a minimum of 365 days from the drug-test collection date and shall lose a year of eligibility;
2. A student-athlete who tests positive has an opportunity to appeal the positive drug test;
3. A student-athlete who tests positive a second time for the use of any drug other than a "street drug" shall lose all remaining regular-season and postseason eligibility in all sports. A combination of two positive tests involving street drugs (e.g., marijuana, THC or heroin), in whatever order, will result in the loss of an additional year of eligibility;
4. The penalty for missing a scheduled drug test is the same as the penalty for testing positive for the use of a banned drug other than a street drug; and
5. If a student-athlete immediately transfers to a non-NCAA institution while ineligible because of a positive NCAA drug test and competes in collegiate competition within the 365-day
