That moment was special. I can quantify it with this - we had a big get together last night and in typical fashion all the men were under the camp carousing, eating, and drinking and all the women were upstairs bs’ing. During Joes O portion of speech I glanced around at the 25 or so grown men a not an eye was dry....more fascinating was everybody had stopped drinking and had put down the gumbo bowls. For a bunch of coonasses, that was momentous.

Wife and kids were teasing me for crying and that was before the coach O portion of the speech!

Coach O was trying so hard not to cry I was afraid his head was going to explode! I’m sure back in his hotel room watching the replay he was on the floor in the fetal position sobbing! ??????

Damn you Tyler Tyler: I had tears when it happened live, after watching it 3-4 more times, and now after reading your post. Damn....

Coach O’s hire is the greatest thing to happen to LSU, he brought Joe Burrow and Joe Brady here, recruits will be overflowing LSU’s commit list, and Louisiana will be celebrating for decades.

Yep, when the camera panned back around to him the 2nd time, I think he had slipped on a Coach O mask so we couldn't see him sobbing underneath.

As an OSU fan, of course I will be rooting for OSU if we're fortunate enough to play LSU in the Championship game. That means a certain degree of rooting for Joe to get sacked and throw interceptions and so on.

But if LSU wins, it won't make me any less fond of Joe. To the contrary, it would take at least a little of the sting out of the loss. If LSU is going to win, I'd want him to have an MVP performance.

Someone in the background, I think one of the former Heisman winners, said 'take your time, man"...

Only they could actually know the gravity of the moment. The entire moment was touching.

The Heisman winners were all huge fans of Joe Burrow, as both an athlete and his human side. They won’t forget this Heisman presentation.

I was complaining to my wife because it was obvious that no one dusts around here. It kept getting into my eyes.
