Um, I think it has more to do with LSU being the top baseball progam in the country and its popularity - in Louisiana and elsewhere - having exponentially grown over the last 3 decades.

Your jab at BR, whether true or not (that's a different conversation), has absolutely zero to do with LSU baseball ratings
to me it should shut the idiots up that say nola doesn't support the tigers....I bet lsu gets as much media coverage in nola as br...

I'd imagine the 6 national titles, countless SEC titles, 15 CWS appearances, new ballpark, 1000's of wins and the premier collegiate baseball players have a lot more to do with LSU's unmatched fan interest and TV ratings than not having a Six Flags in town.

Uhmmm..yeah...your right...it didn't say the LSU-Sam Houston game was the most watched. It didn't day the LSU-Jackson state game was the most watched.

This guy, because for some fricked up reason DirecTV users cannot use ESPN3 or the watch ESPN app.

I ended up buying a new router for $200 dollars and apple tv so I could get the games in HI def on my tv from my computer. So in the end spent $300 dollars to see the lsu games for regionals but walked away with apple tv and a much better internet connection.

While I do think the LSU v ULL aspect had a little bit to do with it, it was the "championship game" or whatever those games are labeled. I would bet viewership was up for all regionals that day.

I agree. The previous weekend ULL played the Sun Belt Tournament championship game at their HOME field and attendance was barely over 2,000. The fan base is no where close to as rabid as they claim it is.
