6. Jarrell Martin, PF, LSU
ESPN 100 Rank: No. 10
His physical tools and skill set, along with a major opportunity, will help Martin dominate early in his college career. He is a big-bodied forward who has excellent ball and shooting skills for his 6-7, 210-pound size. Martin is a matchup nightmare because he can take bigger, less-mobile players away from the basket with his shot and his drive, or he can punish smaller and similar-sized defenders inside the elbows. Playing along with fellow ESPN 100 prospects Tim Quarterman and Jordan Mickey next season, Martin will have plenty of help and a chance to shine. LSU coach Johnny Jones will insert this freshman into his lineup; Martin is a skilled scorer and high-level rebounder who has continued to improve at a steady pace and will no doubt be ready next season.

Next year should be fun.

He looked bigger than 6'7" 210 at the McDonalds game compared to the other players in attendance.

He's going to be a great player for us.

Almost makes me wish I wasn't graduating. Would've loved to see him in person.

Are you moving out of the state or something?

Most likely. In my field you have to move to a city like New York or Chicago if you really want to make it, and that's where I've been interviewing.

Good deal. You can watch us ball on television. Not bad moving to Chicago or NY. Not sure what you're doing that confines you to only those two places, even if it's finance oriented.

Im in advertising/marketing. It's not that I'm confined to those places, but in my experience, it's a lot easier to go there, work for a global agency for 3-5 years (maybe go to a client for a few more) and come back to the south making 100-150K in a director or VP position than it is to start small here and work your way up. Something about those cities and the major agencies there that carry a lot of weight, all experience considered.

Plus the turnover and market up there is so fast, it's not uncommon to see people get promotions every year, as opposed to every 2-3 years down here.
