Not complaining ab the rankings other than usc shouldnt be #1, if they run an easy schedule they will hold that spot. If anything LSU and Bama prove they belong up there. USC is coming off probation, and their defense isnt anywhere near as good as it used to be when they were wrecking people under carroll. We would wear them down like every other team, so would bama.

#oversigning

This would be my greatest concern facing either LSU or Bama. I don't think we've got enough people to rotate them in and keep them fresh, especially at DL.

Going forward we probably have enough in the tank as it stands to beat anybody on the current schedule, but anything can happen between now and January, and it usually does.

If they win their first game, expect to see them at #3.
eh, that was the old days. They've down so long I don't think they have that kind of fawning anymore. If anything it may be that they are harder on them.

No way he's wrong. Have you watched ESPN? They were quick to let you know who they liked at the end of last season.... No surprise here. I can here May, Corso, and Herbie now playing the ole USC trumpet

We are still better than last year?

and yet they pimp Bama hard too, and look at that tv market, pathetic... so go figure.

The consensus of a huge hypothetical conspiracy thread on the MSB as to why ESPN Pimped Bama was that it was their attempt to blow up the BCS and gain more revenue through more games via a playoff. It's all just talking though.

FWIW, I think Bama will be dropped quicker than panties at a Johh Mayer concert by ESPN when USC is legit.

Not really. With Notre Dame on their way to a losing record ESPN was still devoting segments of their college football show to the Irish. Notre Dame mania has not and will not go away.

Is that really saying all that much?

Your SOS last year was in the 40-50 range and I believe the year before it was bout the same.

I would think your conference would be opposed to any playoff.
