I really don't care one way or the other....If the coaches think we need another immediate QB on roster, then so be it. It is what it is.
I really hope that the coaches don't think we have that need (because the need in itself is somewhat alarming if it exists), but if they do, they do...and they probably know better than anyone what kind of servicable depth we've got at the position.

God, some of y'all are stupid. First of all, even if this ridiculous rumor has any truth (which I say 0% chance of happening), you think his "playing time experience" is what will shoot up to a backup QB on a National Championship caliber program? The kid played horribly on a terrible Penn State team. dumb
Secondly, some of you think that he would ever have a shot at playing coming into an offense that he knows absolutely nothing about. Based off his "experience" he would beat out Rivers and Randall who have been here for over a year. dumb
Third....no there is no third. For people who think he is an actual option, GTFO

My sarcasm in this thread seems to be going undetected.

One more thing, if something bad happens to Mett, and this is the guy that Miles is relying on....then I'm worried. I think Rivers is more capable than people think

Then why are you worried if Rivers is more capable than everyone thinks?

I should've clarified more. I'm being sarcastic. To some posters, they assume that our backups aren't good enough.
I do think Rivers is underrated. Just my opinion

I thought he did very good in the spring game, considering the defense he was up against.

7 TDs
14 INTs
in the fricking big 10 and people think he'd be a better option than rivers

as long as mett stay's healthy, who cares. "we" are under the 85 limit, so i'm ok with it.

I think he was speaking about Rivers.

the way i understand it, since we are under the 85 limit, it won't count against the 25 (or whatever number) for next year. but to be honest, it seems like these rules have 50 different interpetations, so i could be wrong.
