Not trying to sound like a prick, but till that game...

I didn't know there was an Appalachian State University.
So, maybe it was a good thing?

I don't want to sound like a prick either, but damn!! What hole have you been living in? App State has been around a long time and they have a fine athletic tradition. They play all the major sports, I believe. I have seen App State scores in the paper and on the news since the seventies, I am sure. I have never lived anywhere near North Carolina.

Then again, I never lived in Ohio either. LOL!!

I'm not going back to research the message threads but they're either homers or having fun poking the hornets nest. Having said that, our guys are coming to play and win.

You're correct but ASU has only really reached the top of I-AA in the last few years. Also, LSU fans are aware of us because we've played you in the past.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make the trip. I've heard the number 3,000-5,000. Band is not going as of now but I think they're working on that.

ESPN does suck...

Don't say that. ESPN keeps us up on sporting events and tells us what are opinions should be on it and what teams and sports we should and shouldn't watch. Without ESPN most people would have to think for themselves

I'm looking forward to this game. Of course LSU will win, but it should be a good game.

I guess I've just never had to nor really cared to follow 1AA.

Not saying they don't have a fine atheltic program, just stating that I'd never really heard of them until that Michigan game.

I was still pretty young when that happened. Was that in 2000?

I'm in the band and as of right now, we don't know if we are going. The decision is still to be made. We found out we were going to
Michigan at the end of July or very beginning of August, so there is still more time.

We took 6 buses to Michigan and will probably take 7 IF we go to LSU (added another 30-40 people), and with gas the way it is, that's a LOT of money.

I sure hope we get to come down though!!*crosses fingers*

How many in the band now? Also, will you be wearing the usual uniforms or are they going to do something different because of the heat? The players are going to be hot but will have cooling devices and trainers to keep them hydrated. I can see you guys dropping like flies if you wear the usual uniform.

I think we are going to have like 320 or something. I'm not really sure. I do know there will at least be around 120 brass players.

We wore our regular uniforms to the Michigan game and it was pretty freakin hot there. We had several people feel like that were going to pass out, but I think a lot of that had to do with a delayed lunch. We haven't decided what we are going to wear if we go. I guess we'll wait and do that when we find out if we are going.

Make sure everybody stays hydrated and checks on the people around them.

LSU stomps us = People will say that was expected and they shouldn't have run-up the score.
LSU beats us by a little = People will say ASU kept it close and LSU should not have had that much difficulty handling us.
LSU loss = LSU will recover a finish near the top but with the BCS voting system, will never be repeat NCS.
You need to win by a respectable margin (14-21 pts?) without giving the press any ASU highlight clips they'll show over and over again.

No no no.

LSU stomps ASU = Congrats we just beat up on the retarded kid on the playground.

LSU beats ASU by a litte = We get made fun of by the national media and all touchdowns will be replayed for the entire week and possibly the rest of the season.

LSU loses = Season over. We would only be able to drop one more game AND win the SEC Title to even be considered for a BCS Bowl.

You want to talk trash, fine I'm on your board. This type of comment is uncalled for and you have managed to insult and offend many of your own fans who have "retarded" kids suffering with Downs Syndrome, Autism, etc. Autism, Downs, etc. affects people and families regardless of where you live or which university from which you graduated. That comment is totally uncalled for.
