Ok I'll support your notion, and so then......its ok for his employer to fire him for this then right? I mean...he is an employee of the NFL/Niners right. He works for them so they can terminate his contract for cause if they see fit right?

Sure. In the same token, if his employer supports or tolerates it, the player can continue to take part in his non-violent protest. Regardless, none of this changes the fact that he has a 1st amendment right to protest which protects him from government retaliation for his actions.
