Kind sir or Ma’am
I’m still active and have quite a diverse set of friends and coworkers
His right to kneel is his right. But to say an overwhelming majority.....
Is an overstatement and most I know do take offense and or think it’s misguided and foolish..
But. I guess we are about to see what his next chapter holds

I fought many times for our country.
One thing I fought for was freedom of speech.
I don't agree with everything he believes, but I believe in the rights we have given him.
I also believe people learn from their mistakes. Lord knows I have learned from mine.
In other words, I'm over the vitrial and hate. I am still willing to defend his freedom of speech and I am hopeful he can be grateful to a country that made him a millionaire.
I hope he gets a contract and learns to express love of this country at the same time.

Everyone will stand this coming season. The point has been made. All the racist have shown and continue to show themselves. The real work is being done behind the scene. Like always.

OH so DBG decided not to respond to or rebut my response?! Guess God gave him the power to comprehend and concede to my argument despite his minute nitpicking BS, good times

Indeed, the “point has been made”. Moral idiocy and Progressive Fundamentalism are flourishing, Racial Grievance is a growth industry, Racial resentment is viewed as a virtue, those who would divide us by race are holding the mic and everybody who believes in the content of a man’s character over his racial identity is likely to be called a racist by a really angry SJW. That’s some solid “ behind the scenes work” there ...

he learned golden rule, a little too late
"He who has the gold, makes the rules"
"He who has the gold, makes the rules"

Yep. Be a follower and kneel with your buddy cause his girlfriend says so, get attention and think you're so "woke".
Alienate a majority of the people who make it possible to play a game for alot of money, become radioactive and not get a job, then give up your paper thin ideals so you can get paid.
Point definitely made.

Reid has a right to protest or question things he doesn't think are right. that really should not anger you. this is AMERICA and we have freedom. s
peacefully protesting is one pf the most patriotic things you can do.

you're a good poster but you do realize that ER gave more to lsu football on Wednesday during the off-season than you or i ever will, right?
but you're entitled to your opinion.

Serves his dumb arse right for disrespecting my country!
So it's just your country? This country doesn't belong to any of the people who respect or agree with the position he's taken?
I served in the military during the Vietnam War and I feel that this is also my country. And even though I wouldn't take a knee during the National Anthem, I feel it's every American citizens right to take whatever stance they so choose.

I agree with you, ER was a BALLER as a Tiger and initial starter for the 49ers when he entered the league like he had game and I think he should be signed, I just think he shouldn't be talking so much about his association with Kaep and the protests and should let his agents and another franchise negotiate his future employment so he can continue to remain a viable NFL safety. With his recent injuries it could be tough to secure a great contract but he should just let the process play out naturally and not interfere with controversial comments.

This is an ill-thought -out cliche and a fallacy . The act of “ peaceful protest” is Value- Neutral. There is nothing “ patriotic “ about peacefully exercising your rights while promoting unvirtuous principles. For instance, peacefully protesting in favor of abridgeing the Rights of others is Not patriotic. Having a protest against a virtuous principle is not “ patriotic “.
We have the right to peacefully protest but that does not magically infer virtue upon it. Eric Reid’s cause is the opposite of patriotic and the opposite of virtuous because he is promoting Race Grievance, Identity Politics, Cultural Marxism, and many other things which are catastrophic for any society or India who embraces them.
To recap - peaceful - good .
Protest- not necessarily good, in this specific case, Bad.
