I understand in fall camp but a week before practice against the #8 team in the country shows lack of confidence and foresight.

Does it really make any difference to anyone what anyone on this site knows about anything?
First, it's not a stupid question/observation. I routinely hear about the lack of first team reps that a backup gets in both the NFL and college.
Second, if it is a stupid question/observation, I could search your posts (or mine) and find stupid things.

That logic is based on there only being a certain amount of reps available. They are very likely having a higher amount of total reps so that each gets a sufficient amount. The time limits on practices didn't come in to play until school started last week. If you have ever seen a practice, there is allot of standing around. If you speed it up, there is plenty of times for many more reps to be available.

I think it shows great confidence in the fact that equal reps of both QB's demonstrates the achievement of strength and their completed certification in the minds of the coaches and in particular, the understanding that each individual is part of the body of the whole team.

2 qb's left last week, so total reps have doubled.
That said, I haven't heard anything about splitting. I assumed Burrow is getting all the reps with the 1's this week.
