Maybe if we’re teaching algebra instead of calculus we’d have at least been good at some kind of math.

Weak analogy is weak. These players were highly recruited and competed to be where they are. If it was just one person that couldn't get it, you might have a point. If entire groups aren't able to get it, it is 100% on coaching.

And Deculus started at RT in like 10.

And both were in and out of a few of those games with various injuries. I think it was something stupid like we only started the same OL combo back to back once or twice. Throw in the constant WR subs and it's really difficult to get everyone on the same page. Coaching has a lot to do with it but sometimes the players have to put the work in also.

New personnel at every position composed of first timers and old timers trying to build chemistry, injuries and off-the-field issues with key starters and learn an entire college football playbook in 2 months.

I'm not sure this can continue to be an excuse. Ensminger said Burrow, who had been on the team the least amount of time, was able to handle the audibles. Hell, he did it in the very first game.

I'm not saying there isn't a learning curve for everyone at first, but if entire position groups still aren't picking things up throughout the course of a season, then there's a bigger issue than lack of chemistry or time.

Do we just have the dumbest players in the sec or can ensminger not coach worth a shite? The second part.

so some of the players couldn't pick up audibles and you blame the coach?

EVERYTHING is the coaches fault according to some LSU fans.

The thread title is poor, stating that the whole offense couldn’t handle audibles. Nowhere does it say the whole offense, it says some positions (individuals) couldn’t.

Audible systems can be extremely simple or extremely complex. Maybe E just needs to simplify the system somewhat.

Not really. Charles only day our games we thought we couldn’t lose. He played against Auburn before sitting out 2 games with no new Injury.

Deculus started 11 games.

Maybe in the first 5 games but realistically we started the same 4 at least 8/12 games.

So we let the WR sub on their own?

We had like 4 good WR.

But we needed to play all of them.

And nowhere did I say it was the whole offense. Reading is hard.

I think it's probably some of this and a some of certain players not working hard enough to learn their responsibilities.

Position groups, which is extremely obvious to anyone with a non-Gump IQ.

Yea, the whole offense couldn’t get audibles down. Meaning the entirety of the offense.

I literally took what Steve said and made it the thread title

Not all of the offense could handle audibles is much more precise.

i'm not one of those. I call 'em like I see 'em. probably a concept you don't grasp. we had a bunch of new players on offense this year and we had a lot of OL issues not to mention freshman WR's. Burrow most definitely could audible. who does that leave?

our coaches sure make mistakes but new players struggle with LEARNING audibles.
