LSU showed me zero leniency or emotion. I even wrote an essay and got all my papers signed by my professors on why I should be allowed to withdraw from school past the drop date and they still denied me. I had to accept what ever grades I got for the rest of the semester.

Why does any of this warrant leniency?

Exactly. My uncle shot and killed my grandmother then killed himself while I was in dental school. I missed 1 or 2 days of school. Life happens - you have to deal with shite and adjust, because life doesn’t adjust for you.

Am sorry for your loss. If you had been a 5 star performer things would have turned out differently.

To say LSU managed correctly is freaking stupid. LSU totally fumbled the ball. It wasn’t the fact that he needed the extra three hours from summer as much as it was the fact that they allowed him to be put in that position. They knew I should have known in the fall and spring how many hours it would take to make it up. That’s on LSU. They probably assumed that he would be able to get a waiver.
