He needs to secure that ball with two hands when running

His last fumble was when he had BOTH HANDS AND ARMS WRAPPED AROUND THE BALL.

Seems like Emery has fumbled more than just last night. It will impact his draft status.

there is no seems like, he has, and this issue goes back to his high school days...I think it was Mike Scarborough who mentioned he fumbled 4 times in one high school game alone...

I know he fumbled against New Mexico, late against Auburn, against Arkansas and twice last night. Teams have scouted him and so I've noticed even more punching at the ball than usual at times when Emery has the ball. I don't know why it's such an issue for him, but I can imagine what he'd be able to do if he could get 15-20 carries in a game. Unfortunately, you can't give him those kinds of carries though with him fumbling so much.

Don't you think this has already been done? By his coaches in high school, as well as two different college-level coaching staffs? I'm sure that coaches have been working for years to try to fix his fumbling issues. They are the only thing standing between him and greatness. It's extremely frustrating, because the talent is obvious, but it is what it is at this point.

He had two fumbles in 131 career touches coming into this season. Prior to last night he had four fumbles in 187 career touches. Prior to last night it had been a month in a half since he had fumbled.

Point being, his fumbles aren’t some long running issue. It’s a living in the moment problem. Refocus during the week, work on fundamentals, and he will be fine.

He was securing the ball with two hands when it was stripped the last time. Inexcusable.

I wonder if John's arms are not that strong. Maybe some off season weight work could shore this up.
