I understand slumps in baseball, but this has been going on for the last 8 days. It's getting pretty obvious they didn't put in the work in the off season.
I guess they thought being the National Champs, the other teams would be intimidated. However, it looks like we are the ones that are intimidated by other teams.
It is starting to look like Jay doesn't know how to coach a team coming off a Championship.
Still early in the season, but this is bad baseball. Pitchers are scared. Hitters are uncomfortable. Jay looks frustrated.

Or, and stay with me here….
Replacing both starting pitchers, your 1B, 2B, 3B, and C will result in some growing pains. Not to mention the senior RF who played a ton over 4 years.

All teams have to replace players. These players don't want to compete right now. Maybe that will change when they hit the SEC schedule.
As for Jay, what happened the year after his first title? You would think he would learn his lesson from that trash year.
But, no. Still reading sports pages from June of 2025 about how great he is.

So, I’ll reiterate, calling that team trash is a major problem amongst the LSU “fans”. Feeling that way is exactly why you’re melting right now. You expect Omaha and titles every season.
