Once again, you have more and more people sitting in corporate season ticket seats with trophy wives etc. etc. that come to see and be seen.
Right that Florida fans sure didn't leave in a rainstorm when they were stomping a heavy underdog.
Real, diehard fans have been priced out of going to games.
Watching Ohio State play USC, it killed me to admit that their stadium is worlds above Tiger Stadium now as far as noise and being an intimidating place for visitors.
I admit though--I've never seen a fanbase and a stadium fall so far, so fast--in the space of about 8 years--from the most initimidating venue in college football to tens of thousands of spoiled fat cats who are there just to see and be seen and leave a stadium embarrassingly empty at halftime of a close SEC game.
Tiger Stadium is just a shell of its former self.
That's sad.

Someone that wants to see a full stadium supporting their team in SEC games. Please go waste your money at the casino, and not in Tiger Stadium. If people like you wouldn't pay all of the tradition fund, and TAF fees, then maybe the ticket prices would be reasonable enough for people that grew up loving the Tigers.

Have no problem with people leaving, but lets not pat ourselves on the back too much about LSU being a tough place to play because of crowd noise. I bet Vandy was not having trouble in the second half hearing.

No they're not free, but when people like you snatch them up and don't actually support your team you are robbing other people that would love to be there. I say screw you, you don't just represent yourself, but everybody that loves this school and this team.

+1
Imagine how dominant this team has been in the last decade, and our fan support has gotten worse. There was zero crowd noise tonight. I sat in East Upper and the fat cats that sit in the west lower, prime seats, left by half if they even showed up.
Tiger Stadium is a has been.

I don't know where your seats are, but on the rare occasion when my friend has extra tix, I sit in the midfield, lower-bowl, chairback seats (niiice) and I'd be hard pressed to find a fan UNDER 40 (unless they brought their kids or grandkids with them).
And if you notice, it was that same section that was the most emptied out.
To be fair, they may not have "left" - they may have just taken cover on the ramps by the concessions. But I would bet most of them left.

the more they raise prices, the more they divide football games into a class exclusive activity. It turning into less and less die hard fans and more upper-middle class older people looking for a somewhat entertaining way to spend their saturday. pathetic is the best word to describe it.

That's a bunch of whiney BS. Get your head out of your arse and look around. 90% of those fans are under 40. "Old affluent" people seeking a Saturday night entertainment aren't likey to face paint up and go to the park in the rain. (It's been raining all day). There's plenty to do in BR besides self torture.

It does seem as if TS only gets loud for major games now.
It also strikes me that our fan base may not be as desperate and hungry for success as they were prior to the two NC's. That might affect crowd noise and intensity.
In any event, it's a sad, inexplicable phenomena. Why have LSU fans become so indolent and complacent?
But here is the greater mystery: where do all of those fans GO when they leave? They prefer to go home and sit on their couches or in their cars? I love Baton Rouge, but it's not exactly as if there are other major events occurring on a Saturday night during the fall.

You're right man, more power to you. Enjoy your money and your nice weather games against good teams that we are winning. You have no idea how ridiculous it looks on TV when all the people that do whatever the frick they want with their money are dressed as empty seats. Thanks for your support.
