I am very much a miles supporter, but this is wrong, IMO. And, yeah, I dont know all the facts, but what mitigating circumstance could there be to deny a kid the full scholarship that he was offered?
OMG, he is not being denied a scholarship.

Thats right! The almighty Saban did this well in his first 3 years at Bama.
Bama signed 26 and only had room for like 15. They were still 3 over the 85 as of last week. Bama fans will tell you some crap about all these back-counters but they were at 85 last year so according to the OP in this thread they can't back-count players if they were at 85 even if their class last year was under 25. I didn't know about this new rule but it must be true if we can't back-count one of our two spring enrolled players.

Bama and Ole Miss are two of the worst offenders.

Why does Bama always have a highly rated recruiting class?

Because they "sign" 412 people.

That's why ranking recruiting classes is stupid.

Not based on Rivals system. They only count the top 20 recruits in your class. Scout has a terrible rating system and basically boosts it the more recruits you have.

Oh Bama does bring in talent. But they also over recruit and no one brings that up.

And for the previous poster, you are correct, only Scout and ESecPN follow that formula.

Still, I'll take coaching evaluations over Tom Luginbill any day of the week.

Yep. But the NCAA allows it to happen and until they do something about it, it won't stop.
