Jacob Hester, Justin Vincent and Barrington Edwards played a COMBINED 115 games for LSU. Their combined stats were 3,970 yds rushing, 48 TD's and 91 receptions for 714 yards and 5 TD's.

In 43 games for Tulane, Matt Forte alone amassed 4,265 yds rushing, 39 TD's and had 103 receptions for 985 yards and 5 TD's.

Holy misleading stats, Batman! For starters, those 115 COMBINED games would include many overlapping games. Secondly, Jacob Hester was a full back for half his time at LSU. Third, if you take out Barrington Edwards (don't know why you picked him in the first place) and substitute in Alley Broussard, their numbers go 5,338/55, and 766/7. Fourth, your reception TD numbers are flat wrong, Hester had 7.

Forte was one of those players that blew up his senior year. He wasn’t very highly recruited or he wouldn’t have went to Tulane.

McGuire was an unbelievable high school running back with good measurables, but he went very much under the radar. LSU wanted him to be a DB, but he wanted to be a RB. He was good enough to play either at LSU. In fact, he was a good enough athlete to play RB, WR, CB, or S for LSU.

That was a miss on LSU’s part for sure. He would have been a great Tiger.
