The Comments on Ricks transferring are way different than Brennan transferring.
I wonder what the difference is....
People are more disappointed in Ricks leaving.

One is an AA and has played less than full time for two years. But the player never gave the impression of being fully committed to LSU.
One has been here for four years and waited a very long time to play, and recently has been seriously injured. His loyalty to the the place was never questioned. He is a good player, but the perception is that his departure will not hurt the team much.
The loss of the AA player hurts more, and, unfortunately some folks revert to stereotypes to express their anger about it.

I know a lot of people get pissed when guys transfer out.
If a guy doesn't want to be here, it may be better to let him go. I think every situation may be different. You definitely want to challenge guys to improve and be committed. However, you don't want someone with a bad attitude messing up team culture and chemistry.

You lefties just cannot help playing the race card. Gotta be the most miserable existence being perpetually offended and looking for an opportunity to be a victim

Not surprising. Always seemed to have one foot out the door. This is the downside to recruiting nationally. There’s zero sense of loyalty to the school / community.

College players now have more options to find the best market or situation for them. A coach can leave and nobody brings up the silly "loyalty" thing.
BTW he is going to be far from last, portal jumping season hasn't even started.

I will never understand the mentality of kids these days. Give me another Clyde, another Jets, another Burrow! Kids who are HUNGRY FOR OPPORTUNITIES!
