NFL teams interested in acquiring Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Flynn, who was relegated to a backup role last season by rookie Russell Wilson, will want to pay close attention to the passer's physical exam pending any trade.

Flynn has spent much of the offseason working to correct elbow tendinitis in his throwing arm which limited him in competition with Wilson last summer, a person close to the quarterback told USA TODAY Sports. The person, who also says Flynn will not require surgery, spoke on the condition of anonymity because the Seahawks had not disclosed the extent of the injury.

Rex Ryan probably started this rumor so he can get a deal on him...

As long as Miles is the LSU football head coach, LSU will never produce an NFL starting QB. If we did, he won't last more than 3 seasons (aka JR)

You can say that about most schools around the country since there are only 32 teams and over half already have their starters.

The only SEC coach who has put a starting QB in the NFL is Richt.

Spurrier had a couple that held starting jobs.
Miles had Russell starting.

So it's Les Miles fault that JR was lazy and addicted to codine syrup?

I doubt Rex Ryan is really interested. I don't see anyone interested in him other than as a backup now big he couldn't beat out a rookie it's gonna be hard to be out a veteran. I still think he is better than anyone in KC, AZ, or NYJ but I doubt it happens. He will probably end up in another backup position.
