A bone head and ours; a man who has proven he lies to the fans and never mans up to his mistakes or anything he doesthat doesn't benefit his players either. Plus he makes @ $4 Million a year. Please, don't throw this under the bus? I thought most of you believed and loved your Capitalistic Country and

Make no mistake, we're in a bad position with this and it being magnified by national media and anyone else only adds to it. We have a perception problem and a results problem. I just don't know if it would be resolved by putting him in the road now and then try to find someone better and overcome all the baggage. I'm leaning toward option 2.

Fair enough, I did misread his post, and I apologize for my skimming. I do think option two is the way to go.
Because I feel that it is. Could something come completely out of left field...of course, but it won't. Would it make you feel better if I prefaced or ended all of my posts with IMO...?

Les Miles will NOT be fired guys... try to get a grip on reality.

Fair enough here also.

No, but jumping on every poster or thread that even mentions the possibility of Miles leaving with your opinion as an absolute truth in an attempt to make them look foolish has gotten old.
We have different opinions for sure, but that doesn't mean everyone you or I disagree with is an idiot. Some of them are for sure, but this guy actually had two ideas, both he thought would support LSU.

And Fury, you don't want to get grouped with this. Even in disagreement I think you have more to say than that.

The grip is in the peoples hands:
"Elections are won by men and women chiefly because most people vote against somebody rather than for somebody." - Franklin P. Adams
This is the way you LSU people think?

Then, we have to open the checkbook and get the best damned coordinators that money will buy and make a major splash with their hires. If we choose this route, then we have to expect to spend freely and wisely. Bigtime college football is an arms race.
Yes. But on offense. I think Chavis can work for LSU but Less needs to tell him cut the 'bend but no break' bullshite and prepare to attack/attack/attack like in '03 and '07. Then, Miles and Chavis need to hit the recruiting trail and do whatever necessary to reel in the remaining stud d-linemen they're recruiting, even at the expense of cutting some of the 3* dead weight currently committed.
If crowton stays Miles better prepare Russel Shepard to run the offense, because Jefferson is no Dennis Dixon. Shepard could give us the kind of play Vick gave VT, but a smarter version.
I think Crowton needs to go and Miles should hire a pro-style O-coordinator, preferably with some NFL experience or with proven ncaa experience developing qb's. Norm Chow is toiling away at UCLA, but he could transform our offense if we pony up the cash. Miles should take a page from Sean Peyton's manual and part with some of his own cash to get a legit O-coordinator to take advantage of the talent we already have on campus.
Just my 2 cents.

I appreciate that, but I'm sure we'll find something to spar about again.

How is the AD publicly coming out in support of Les "crazy arse shite"?
Either fire him or give him the full support of his bosses in public.
I'm all for firing Miles, but if he is retained, how about trying to set him up for success rather than, "Good luck, we're just waiting to fire you."

This thing hinges on hiring well-known coordinator (Offense). Someone who makes everyone say "Damn!" and this someone can attract other talent.

What (good) OC is going to want to come her after we crucify Crowton?
How much will it cost, and if we shell out another 1/2 mil. contract to go 8-3...we are screwed worse.
its a tough situation we are in right now to say the least

I was not speaking to this thread solely. I was speaking to everything on the board that has happened since the meltdown...

One that thinks he can succeed and wants more money than he is making?
Why leave a position as VP of Joe's Hamburger Shop making $150 to become VP of McDonald's making 500k?
I dunno? Because that's what most people would do?

You sound like a spoiled brat.
Oh my GOD LSU may not be a national championship contender. I could have told you that at the beginning of the year.
Either you bleed purple and gold or you do not. National Championships do not come very often, period. Get over yourself and enjoy a winning record.

I posted a thread regarding this Saturday night. Aleva needed to hold a presser backing Miles and indicate that the entire staff is reviewed at the end of the season, as per normal protocol. Damage control because of the national press was essential. Didn't happen. I guess we have to settle for the Miles press conference today and move on.

Would you please get off of Miles' Lesticles. I'm tired of having a humble nice guy who is probably a great dad but is a shite coach.
Everybody talks about how good he recruits players, recruiting players shouldn't be that hard. Promise them quality playing time, have a school well established in excellence, provide the best coaches and facillities, and basically let the parents know you'll take good care of their son.
I mean yall said Saban is an arse (and he is), so wouldn't this turn players off?
Recruits left when he left, and I believe that it has to be something else than Miles being the one obtaining all those recruits.
And if you can't coach up a 4-5 star recruit, what's the use in obtaining them. Get better coaching then we can talk about recruits.
