To what extent do you think canceling spring football will hurt our football program?
The fact that every program is being effected the same does that actually make it equal?
I think teams that were more established with less personnel turnover will have a big advantage.
Do you think some how the NCAA wIll get teams back the remaining 12 practices that were missed because of spring being cancelled?

No team members remain on campus and are not returning until sometime in mid-April.

It favors vet laden teams.
I do wish the team had stayed on campus and they could just workout and toss the ball around

It was asked and the coaches said no..
everyone had to go. The football facility is under lock and key. No one can use the weight room or any of the film rooms or the facilities.

If Burrow were still there, the team - offense anyway - might be practicing in a gravel lot somewhere. I hope that determination is still there.

IF it seems we can let college football go on as planned, I am hoping the NCAA will allow maybe an extra 7-10 days of preseason practices.
I think we must at least consider that College Football as we have known it for 150 years, might not exist in 2020. I say it is a 20% chance cfb in 2020 does NOT happen.

No, I think we need to most certainly deemphasize football now that Joe Burrow is no longer here.

Well when really helps is the extra workouts during bowl season we got for being in the playoffs/championship.

Favors the teams that had an extra two months of practice.

Irrelevant till we lose our 1st game, then we can blame lack of Spring preparation.

LSU cannot endorse any type of LSU athletic event or offer any services, including fields or facilities.
If you don’t think Coach O has a backup plan in place then you’re an idiot. He is extremely mindful of his players’ health and well-being and would not run a full team practice on a neutral field. But to think that there is zero training going on is foolish.

Guy, I would watch who you insinuate is an idiot and is foolish. For your information Spring Break starts on Saturday. There is a one week quiet period for all programs where there can be no official contact between players and coaches. All football operations are shut down. This just happened to coincide with the closure due to the virus debacle which most programs put in place until April 15. All football players have been required to leave campus and go home until further notice. The players have been given film work, playbook studies and personal workout schedules but there is zero team training going on at this time.
