I want a coach that when he's hired in 2016 comes in with a firm vision of what he wants on offense and sticks to the plan, not one that's all over the place. Is that unreasonable to you?

OL and a solid QB is the key to any good offense not the OC.

Cool...

I'll refer you to Woodward.

Say what you will about the random motions, but t was more productive than the 2018 offense

2017 Total Offense per game: 411.1 with 6.2 yds per play

2018 Total Offense per game: 402.1 with 5.5 yds per play

So O's offensive vision is so grandiose that it take 2 years and 2 quasi-offensive coordinators to properly implement it?

you don't think horrible oline play and a qb who was here for only fall camp has an impact on what a team can do offensively?

No they don't. The fanbase creamed when Canada was hired until it wasn't as good as they wanted. Then the fan base creamed when Brady was brought in because it promises a new offense.

The only thing that gets old is promising change & doing nothing about it (Les Miles). Not whether said change is effective or not. And the end of the year if the offense isn't good enough, O could fire E and hire some youngblood and the fanbase will cream again.

Considering horrible O-line play was pretty obvious going back to the spring, you'd think they could tweak the scheme a bit to account for that, right? I know you think it's ABSURD to think that a team could emphasize short passes and working on screens more with only like 5 months to prepare but I guess I have more faith in the staff than you.

Well if he does know what offense he wants, he certainly hasn't done a great job of hiring the right guys to do it and sticking with it. I'm not sure how that's a "shot" but I know you're obsessed with this "haters and bashers" concept, so knock yourself out.

Yes and the promises that we will have a new offense is the ONLY thing keeping people somewhat onboard with O remaining as HC

Wait, what?

It's far more likely that the staff want's a more dynamic offense to utilize the talent on the offensive side of the ball.

This is exactly what the fans want. Why would they/we hate change of this if we didn't have this type of offense in place? It takes change to get to a dynamic offense, but these coaches have never delivered one. That's where the skepticism comes in.

More excuses.

But no one ever wants to make excuses for the defense, a unit that actually deserves the benefit of the doubt. Double standard.

Right. A QB on campus practicing with his guys for a month isn't a legitimate issue....

Again, why should anyone hate the promise of change if LSU didn't already have a dynamic offense in place? It's not that people hate hearing about change. It's that people hate that we have to keep changing.

Because no one believes it.

It's a standard topic here every season. Skepticism is the default pisition.

People want change and want to hear that we are supposed to change. Being skeptical is due to past empty promises. The two are completely seperate IMO. But, carry on.

Why would promises buy the HC good will if everyone is skeptical?

That's the topic
