The offense was a little less horrible under the coach

So you're admitting he didn't "get in the way of it"

Finally.

Anyone that didn't have that offense in the top half of CFB offenses was getting in the way of it.

Have it your way Roger. That year's USC offense sucked anyway.

60th in scoring offense, 63rd in rushing offense, 72nd in passing offense and 74th in total offense.

Place all the responsibility on o if you want to. I don't care who gets the blame. I'm not a USC Trojan fan.

He’s clearly trying to obfuscate things with that one.

This is what you wrote. Just take the L.

And they were 74th in yards per game anyway. That's just bad.
Have YOU EVER taken an L, Goldy? Ever? LOL!!!

I just want to congratulate Coach Orgeron on getting the offense turned around. I’ve really enjoyed what we’ve seen so far.

He did well with Fournette and Guice when we went up against defenses which were very weak against the run (like A&M that year if I remember right) but not so much when that wasn't the case.

They were SEC defenses. And the good defenses you are talking about is Bama. smh

I'm hoping you just misheard. Strange for the head coach to admit he hired an OC that can't install the offense he wants.

I get your point, but things are changing, for the good. It happens. Doesnt mean he regrets the Ensminger hire. Hell, maybe Ensminger is the one who said we need an expert on RPO.

This is part of the problem. I'm not convinced O knows what kind of offense he wants.

Although I kind of agree with you, I think the biggest problem with this conversation is that everyone reads whatever they want from any conversation or article or interview and tries to make it valid.

What have we seen so far? A 2017 Canada offense that he scrapped and a lackluster 2018 offense with E?

We've got ways to go before this offense is "turned around".

You should actually watch the games. It'll help with your posts.

Ensminger is a good but not great offensive coach, and at his age and making the money he's making, he has no ego and could give a shite about getting the praise. He's happy to have Joe Brady in the mix.

best post on this thread. Thank you. a few of these other guys are talking 1s and 0s instead of Xs and 0s.

Seems like your saying O fired a OC who was trying to get O to run a modern offense and replaced him with one who doesn't and needs to be propped up.

Canada's offense wasn't modern, it was gimmicky. I don't see how people liked that offense. It had its moments where it caught people off guard, but I don't think that is an offense that should become a team's identity.

So it's Brady's offense but Ensminger's calling the plays?

Mostly Brady's design. Brady and Ensmingers implementation.
Brady's pre-planned play script. Ensminger's final call.

1. I think Brady is very humble and is not a Matt Canada contolling a-hole type. Neither is Ensminger, so Brady recognizes who his boss is (for now).

2. Sounds like a great setup or grooming of Brady, who has never been an OC before, and I imagine has never called plays in a game.

And I gave you downvote for being an arse. Theres a way you can make your point without being an arse. And you failed. When you use Jackazzery to make your point, it really lessens your point.

With that said, I dont totally disagree.
