Repeating this over and over doesn't make it any less inaccurate.

Didn't know this. That's remarkable.
It was to the point where we thought those wins were automatic, well at least until Orgeron showed up.

Fooled me how????
You stated in an earlier post that Florida wasn't that bad of a team when we beat them. Take a look at their 2017 schedule and results.
They lost to Michigan to open the season. Beat Tennessee in week 3 (their second game was cancelled), 26-20, on a long (somewhere around 55 yards or more) TD pass on the final play of the game. Beat Kentucky the following week 28-27, and scored two touchdowns in that game where Kentucky failed to cover a receiver at the line of scrimmage. Beat Vandy 38-24 the next week, but Vandy gave them all they could handle.
As a matter of fact the only win Florida had by a wider margin than the Vandy game was against UAB toward the end of the season.
That 3-1 record Florida had going into the LSU game was fool's gold. That's why I said it fooled you.

I get so tired of these arguments. If you need to fire the coach then don't not do it because of ONE recruiting class not matter how big that is. It's such a fallacy among college football fans

Like it or not, Miles had a pretty successful career at LSU. I personally believe he had earned a little leeway. But the program wasn't performing up to the standards that were being placed on it and he was rightfully fired. Which I personally was on board with and believe it should have happened at the end of the 2015 season.
Orgeron (in my opinion) hasn't earned a fricking thing, so no, I'm not going to defend him. I think he was a poor choice as a head coach and this past years 9-4 record is a disgrace when you take into account how many "shitty" teams we faced.
The Auburn win is the only thing to brag about, but then the Mississippi State and Troy losses certainly take the luster off that win.
And I really don't see how you can gripe at other posters who "defend" Miles and "rip" o when, just like Rickdaddy has pointed out, for the past several years you've complained about Miles 3 loss seasons, yet this year, you've clearly stated (perhaps more then once) that this was a pretty successful season.
Seems a little hypocritical to me.

Yea Mo jerk, I support O and I have supported all the head coaches since McClendon. What's not to support at this time you non tiger fan, we went 9-4, not great, not a playoff team, but I want to give him a chance to turn the 8-5 9-4 season to the 11-1 etc. If the ship goes south 6-6 or below, it's time to go get another coach. I'd even pull for you if you were the coach at LSU, but you aren't, instead of being negative like so many of you idiots, give Coach O a chance and some time to get us back into the NC picture. He more than anyone on this site wants to do that, if he doesn't he knows he wont be around a long time.

Ok. Ok... so Miles gets leeway for this year because he has some skins on the wall???? Like you said he should have been fired after 2015. Yet you will give a veteran and sucssesful coach a pass on a 9-4 season with what you call a shitty schedule???? Sure that makes sense.... and I said O had a pretty good record FOR HIM compared to his past coaching performances.... was it what we wanted as fans??? No... it's a shame that no matter how well O does here, he will never be given credit when it's due.... I have been against the hire since day one... and I have given Miles way way more credit than I did in fitting him down... when I cut him down it was justified... some LSU fans can't stand ANYONE saying anything negative about the man even though it's true...O has screwed up plenty since he has been here.....

you are just now putting in qualifiers.
at no point before were you saying,"good record for him"

so is stating FACTS about O.

this is just utter bullshite. there isn't a single person you label a "miles lover" that hasn't repeatedly admitted that Miles as a flawed coach.
not a single one.
the problem is you deem it fine for you to question miles but it's not ok for people to question O.
that's the hypocrisy in all this.
I still love ya.
stop getting upset with people posting actual legit gripes about O when you did even more to an actual accomplished lsu coach.

Coach o was the head coach this past year dukke. Miles was fired in September of 2016. How in the world can a give Miles a pass for a season that he didn't coach in?

Frickin punk......
Go root for Vandy if you can't support the LSU coach.. No matter what his name is....

I just can't understand this line of thinking and I'm not necessarily saying I'm right and you're wrong. I support what is best for LSU. If I don't believe the current coach is the best thing for LSU and I have a wide range of valid reasons to believe that, why should I support that? It just doesn't make sense to me.

I'm not deflecting shite dukke. But if you want to compare Miles records while he at LSU with what o did this past year, here ya go.
2008 - LSU finished with a record of 8-5. LSU played 8 teams with winning records and 5 teams with losing records.
2009 - LSU finished with a record of 9-4. LSU played 7 teams with winning records, one team that finished 500 for the season, and 5 teams with losing records.
2014 - LSU finished with a record of 8-5. LSU played 10 teams with winning records and 3 teams with losing records.
2015 - LSU finished with a record of 9-3. LSU played 9 teams with winning records and 3 teams with losing records. The McNeese game was cancelled and the Cowboys finished the season with a 10-1 record.
Now here is o's 2017 results.
LSU finished with a 9-4 record. LSU played 6 teams with winning records, one team that finished 500 and 6 teams with losing records.
So this shows that Miles worst year was one game better than o's first full season at LSU.
Happy?
