Every fan base has their mouth breathers that just like to be heard, no matter how wrong they are. people normally bitch more online rather than praise, so we just see more of their posts as opposed to the people that are happy with, like, or love Orgeron.

The pattern is unmistakeable. He has more gaffes that hits. This year will tell us a lot about CEO. If the team underperforms, then 2020 Ed is probably closer to the truth than 2019 Ed.

Sure is and some people here absolutely hate it

Okay, let's see. He promised us the best coordinators and coaches available and then hires two offensive coordinators who only last one year each because of failure to perform. Then he runs off Dave Aranda by constantly criticizing him the championship year and hires Bo Pelini without even a face to face interview.
The result of all this is that instead of reloading, like Alabama does despite losing players and coaches, we fall flat on our face and have a terrible season. Wow, I can see where criticism of Coach O is not logical at all. He gave us the greatest season ever because of Joe Burrow and yes he was responsible for Burrow coming here. But still nobody knew what Joe would become and there was a bit of luck there.

Nothing else you say is worth reading after this very stupid comment. OMG, another moron joins the fray.

As I said, this season will make or break CEO. Hope I am wrong about him.

Are you new here?
Yes. Kinda regretting signing up. But to be fair. I was warned.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, and assume you're new and legit, instead of an alter.
People talk shite here, and go back and forth a lot.
General rule of thumb is, nobody is bigger than the program. Nobody is untouchable. Miles was extremely criticized, for not winning "pretty enough". Some of the folks that bitched, actually stated they would prefer a high-scoring loss over a boring, plodding win... I wonder if they agreed after the Miss State and Mizzou games?
It's generally understood the Ree is Ponamsky. Between the way he knights for Orgeron specifically, and the occasional insider photos from practice etc, there's no way he isn't. As such, nobody views him as a fan, but instead as a tool. I don't take anything he says at face value, and never will. He isn't for LSU, he's for Orgeron (and himself). There could be photos of O fricking a Care Bear doll, and he'd defend it.
If you're just a fan, stick to your takes and don't melt. Sometimes, even the unpopular ones pan out... I think Displaced Buckeye was considered an insane laughingstock for the way he built up Joe Burrow prior to 2019. Nobody took him seriously, there's no way Burrow would hit the numbers he stated. Ohio State wouldn't have let someone that good get away, especially since he actively WANTED to stay there. We all hoped he'd be Etling with a better arm, and that would be "good enough".
oh, and learn to use the quote feature. That's why I assume you're not an alter, but it's pretty annoying at times, trying to figure out if you are saying something, or responding to what was said.

This is the rant . Some people on here aren’t even happy with their own lives much less Coach O as our Coach !

Solid advice, Scoob. Have an up vote.

quote:So you are saying that O didn't say anything? I heard several comments on national tv and then even more in interviews. It is well known that O had grown to not like Aranda's style of defense and wanted a more aggressive one that would blitz more. He basically wanted a defense like the one he had grown up coaching. And even if Aranda was ready to get a head coaching job and it had nothing to do with O, then what do you have to say about his hire of Pelini?

A pattern requires more than one of something. Can you point to a PATTERN of championships for O? I’ll accept an SECW, SEC or National championship.

Stop measuring LSU against Bama under Saban and you’ll be a lot happier.
O is not Saban and no other college coach in history is Saban. So get over it.

He shouldn’t have ever brought that up - made the comment - I would have hired him anyway.
I like Orgeron but this is true for a lot of stuff he says. You don’t get points for speaking your mind, it just gets heavily used against you when you’re wrong. You would think we would have learned this by now

Here is the tub of shite himself when he’s not rimming Ed:
And here is a rare upright photo of him near Ed. Usually he’s on his knees begging for anything O will give him:
I mean, seriously, look at this troll

quote:love the excuses for O. There’s no reason lsu can’t compete with bama year in and out. With the talent LSU always has there should never be long stretches without beating them. Auburn holds their own against them better than we do.

quote:You got downvoted, but you're actually right with this. I'd add this addendum: Saban AT Bama is the crux of the matter.

Saban at LSU wasn't the Saban we see at Bama. You could make a good argument that Carroll at USC had a better run than Saban did here.
That's because, and a lot of people will get angry here when I say this: LSU is not Alabama. LSU at it's best, will not beat Alabama at it's best. Why? I don't know... but if you look at history, that's always been the case.
It's similar to Ohio State and Wisconsin, only LSU is probably closer. Wisky can be very good and might win the Big 10, but if Ohio State is ON, they won't. LSU can win the SEC, and can even have flashes where they can play top-tier Alabama teams on even footing. But we can't maintain that over time, while they can. We have spurts.
Remember, before we trash Miles for the recent scandals, we wanted to run the guy off- even though he had more success than anyone OTHER than Saban AT ALABAMA. Some of that might be because he was goofy, but he averaged 10-3 here over 11 years. His worst season was 8-5. His percentage at LSU is slightly higher than Orgeron's, because even though Orgeron had a 15-0 season (something Miles didn't), O also has a 5-5 season. Miles' percentage is 2 tenths higher, he won 10.1 games out of 13, while O is at 9.9. So for O to catch him, he's going to have to AVERAGE more than 10 wins the rest of the way. So for a 9 win season, O's going to need a 12 win, or more than one 11 win year; etc.
Miles proved it's doable, but the jury is still out on whether Orgeron can match that level consistently.
