When asked about the quarterback competition, Orgeron said, "I have no problem playing two quarterbacks..."

Someone tell me the last time this worked out. Ed O is clueless. If we try to play two QBs, neither of them will ever feel comfortable running the offense. Constantly subbing two QBs makes it impossible for either to establish a rhythm.

We need to fire this clueless creature before the season starts. Last time I looked, Les Miles was still unemployed.

It depends on how you use them. We used to give Hodson a break once per half and let Micky Guidry have a drive. That worked pretty well.

Woodley and Ensminger worked pretty well.

I agree that one of them needs to be considered the starter. As long as that's clear, I think a 2 QB system can work.

2 QBs worked well in 2007 with MF and the primary QB and RP coming in in certain situations.

Jalen Hurts and Tua.

Won a NC. Got any more brain busters?

He may not mean dual starters, but he can find use for the other guy. He could very well mean mixing in packages for a guy that is mobile and can also throw. Have to keep QBs interested and reward them for hard work with some type of role in the offense. If not we will end up with one scholarship QB on roster when the fall comes.

Leak/Tebow comes to mind. Not super recent, I suppose, but it was working really well with Flynn/Perrilloux. It CAN work, if you work your QB's in the right packages and not become predictable with it. "Narcisse is in, read/option coming."

Um, no. And I'm pretty sure he's having more fun now.

Regardless of what he says, we all know that as soon as the offense is sputtering he's going to get desperate and start meddling. It happened last season, and he was only saved by our incredibly weak schedule. This season the schedule will eat him alive.

Not sure that counts since Tua took over because Hurts was sucking up the joint

This is what I was thinking. If there are two quarterbacks that play, I doubt it will be an alternating series deal.

The situations I’ve seen a 2 QB system really work is when you have a good QB and then a guy who runs well and plays situationally.

2006 Florida with Leake and Tebow
2007 LSU with Flynn and Perilloux

1996 Ohio State and 2006 Florida say yes.

Dear Admin. Can we do something about these Bama trolls?

Two QB systems have have worked plenty of times.

But you are right to have doubt that Orgeron can pull it off. His best QB was Brent Schaf-fah.
