listening to lsu talk radio here in Alexandria last nite and heard an interesting interview with mike scarborough.
ed a came up and mike said it was our compliance department. lynn rollns wanted clarification - that if it was breaking the rules lsu needed to enforce them.
scarborough said it was that we were tougher on weed than any other school. said saban never kept his members off the team for weed tests. said that our rules were tougher and we didn't let the coaches deal with it, like Alabama and most other schools do.
more interesting, he indicated that the trend in sports is marijuana to deal with pain issues instead of opiods - this was what the pros in nfl and nba were doing.
it is stupid to kill our football team for marijuana. that's my opinion.
so bottom line - scarborough thinks it's because ed failed a marijuana drug test.

You didn't see them equated.
Both are choices.
If one has been afforded the gift to play at LSU keep your nose clean or you ain't the best

Well then don't get upset when Savion Smith picks off Myles Brennan while wearing Crimson next year. Or when we lose a game b/c we are down 3 DL who are all "withheld from play". If you want to play the martyr and be able to say your team is "clean", you have to also accept the fact that team will probably be less talented than it's competition.

Anybody know the penalty? Or is it another wait and see similar to Herron? Bama ban??

Weed makes sense. It's rare that a linemen misses a games for an injured hand. Usually just throw a cast on it and let him slap someone in the head with it.

I brought up the compliance department a couple of weeks ago and they can get aids. We are the only school where compliance department punishes are players for stuff that all the other schools don't care about. You think Alabama, Georgia, Ohio state, and on... worry about that no they laugh at that.

Nope...not gay fellas. Sorry but I'm not available for you queers.
Your reluctance to see these young players still as boys (mentally) is a farce. You want them on a pedestal because of their football greatness. You could care less about them as people.
When they become part of the team they are family. Family can make mistakes but need to be corrected. Credit Les for handling Tyrann Mathieu as a person.
LSU winning or losing will not be hinged on Ed. Ed, however, winning or losing in life could very well be hinged on LSU and the staff. Just sayin'
