Miles has done a lot of things in the past that still bug me to this day (not getting rid of Crowton last year, clock management problems, sometimes playing down to competition). That being said I am enjoying the hell out of this team and this season. He has put together one of the most talented and close knit teams I've had the pleasure to watch.

Props to him for hiring Chavis as well. I thought Chavis would be a solid hire but I never thought he'd put a truly elite defense on the field. This year he has produced the greatest defense in LSU history imo.

I am supremely confident in this team, and there's really nothing more I can ask from Miles in terms of this season. Next years team looks to be very good as well.

What? What an absurd statement.

In short, I was wrong. Miles was not driving the program off the cliff

As others point out, you types will be the absolute first people calling for his head with the next 10-3 season. You come on here with your "I was wrong about Miles", looking for props but you'll get none from me. You're still the enemy- you just have no ammo right now because we're 9-0. But since we can't go undefeated every year, you negatigers will rear your ugly heads at the first sign of trouble.

Miles is crazy like a fox. IMO he's one of the top 5 in the country...easy. Just ask yourself...who would you rather have? I can't think of any! Geaux Lesticles!

To correct course, though, he first had to 'blow it' and then correct course. I agree he has corrected, but you can't deny history. The story of Miles at LSU has not been completely written, but the full story will surely include both the high profile failures, as well as the celebrated successes.

Miles' legacy to pieces of shite negatigers like you will include his so-called "high profiles failures", but not to real college football fans. If he wins a title this year, it puts him in pretty elite company. You think he's going to have some kind of Barry Bonds tainted legacy? It's embarrassing to think we're on our way to our 3rd national championship in 8 years and we've got people saying Miles "blew it". Awesome.

Maybe they need to open up every season against a team that goes no huddle and it will continue to light a fire under their asses to be in top shape once the season starts.

This.

I've been saying it all season. I believe this is has been our secret weapon. I don't ever remember an LSU team being in that great of shape for the first game. And, it's carried through.

Insane talent and depth make Miles and Moffitt both look better. Don't take me wrong, the recruited and coached to get the talent and depth. But the constant rotation is killing our opponents in the back half of games.

I used " back half" in honor of Les.

I agree and believe most on this board would not freak out after a loss if we were simply outplayed.

Admitting you're a buffoon and fair weather fan doesn't negate the fact that you're a buffoon and fair weather fan.

There were problems, and they seem to have been corrected. Don't feel bad about questioning things in the past, there were legit concerns.

Surprised it took this long for the self righteous, self proclaimed super fans to parachute into this thread.

We pretty much have co OCs now. It wasn't that we had 2 DCs, it was that we had THOSE TWO DCs. They sucked. Not the situation itself

That's a good point. If we had Saban and Pellini coordinating the d, the d would be fine.
