I just turned it on. They're in the third quarter right now. Auburn 3, LSU 0. Tune in and enjoy one of the great moments in Tiger history!

It was a great ending but overall a unwatchable game.

Eddie Fuller interviewed with Doucet recently and admitted that other than that last TD, it was a pretty boring game

Very true. Our offense was futile til Hodson nutted up on that last drive and willed the team to victory. Auburn beat the shite out of Tommy all night, but he just kept hanging in there.

They just put a stat up (in the 3rd quarter) that LSU had not scored a TD in six quarters. Not a good era for Tiger football.

Anyone remember who the holder was on the game winning extra point?

Clue: He also fielded and made the throw for the final out for LSU 1st baseball National Championship.

My nephew was on the 2003 LSU team he was very impressed I was at the 1988 game.

Told him it was a very boring game.

LSU OL was not near as it had been the year before.

Defense as can be seen in the reruns, without Young and Harman would likely have lost the game.

Moss is the only dependable wr in 88

Hodson is still one for the top qb all time at LSU.

The announcers on epsn were far off the mark in the late 3rd quarter saying Auburn was dominating the time of possession, Auburn had a 1:30 second lead and was driving.

At the end of the game time of possession was near dead even.

Auburn had little offense, as well as LSU.

The 1972 Ole Miss game was a far better game.

And as I told my nephew the 1979 LSU-USC maybe be the best game in Tiger stadium going well into the 90's.

That was grown man football back then. Smash mouth.

Seemed like literally every play in that game had a hit that would have that player kicked out in today’s football.

I thought it was fun to watch to just see the difference in football then and now.

I have BLED purple and gold since the late 70's as a young tigah.

The earthquake game was one of the few if only LSU games I didn't watch or listen to live (thanks night games and 870am) because I was at a Prince concert the night of that game, which by the way, was the best show I've seen in my 50 years on earth.

Keep in mind, there was no internet, cellphones, etc.., and I have lived in Virginia since 1980 after moving from BR so it was easy to pull off not knowing about the game while there. I didn't start watching the game until about 3am, and didn't see THE PLAY until about 6am, but man that game capped off a helluva night for me. Great memories.

#94 is still looking at his feet as his arse was nearly flipping over when Ronnie Halliburton laid that blind side block on his arse.

It was a boring game but some serious hitting. That field was littered with nfL player.

Look at LSUs defense, Jackson, Hill, etc
