college batters face day in and day out probably a range from 85-92 on the fastball and maybe mid to upper 70s on an offspeed pitch. Then suddenly you face a guy who can't touch 83 on a fastball, its an adjustment.
Yes, they hit those players in high school but with baseball being so much about timing one drastic change can really mess things up.

Yeah, avg 20 pitches an inning against this squad is no bueno, the walks are not helping at all.
