During post season WBB won't be playing before a frenzied hostile crowd on a crusade

This team is primed for the post season when they have had 16 games together as a unit instead of 8 which they have now. The key of course is to stay healthy, win the opener in the SEC tourney and rest the starters at least half the second game. No one will want to face this juggernaught come March.

Despite the melting on this board LSU is still a big favorite to make the Final Four. And if that happens that would be a great accomplishment

South Carolina played in one of those environments last night. They won at Auburn by 22.

South Carolina looks unstoppable. Just like last year.

I think elite 8 is the ceiling for this team.

That would still be a great season but less than expected. If the problem is the starting five just has not played enough together another month should cure some of that. Every team in the top 10 has certain weaknesses and given the right opponent like Iowa vs South Carolina last year any team can be beaten no matter how formidable they seem.

The Tigers need to continue to develop within the framework they have and make better decisions. Del Rosario's continued development will be huge. Poa has to give them 10 to 15 minutes of positive play.

Most of all the starters need to find a way to get recharged physically between the end of the regular season and the start of the NCAA tournament. They should get a few days rest after the regular season , play only two games in the SEC tournament like last season and rest up. Then matchups become crucial during Sweet 16 play.

As of today, LSU would be a #4 seed and host a regional which includes a #5 seed. I think we can win that regional beating the #5 seed closely.

If we remain a #4 seed, we would most likely face the #1 regional seed in the Sweet 16. That could be a big challenge for a defensively challenged team.

The key for this team, IMO, is shooting. When we are shooting well, all 5 starters, we can beat anyone including Carolina. We almost beat the Lady Cocks even when Mikaylah was shooting poorly.

No they did not. There were a LOT of empty seats at Auburn last night. That crowd wasn't even close to as loud or frenzied as it was when LSU played them.

Their starting five is good but they have a bench giving them 20 points a game most nights and keeping their starters fresh. And they have an actual PG

LSU is running their starting five every week basically 35-40 minutes a game, no bench production and don’t have a true PG

But I find lsu is very lackadaisical on the road this year in their play. Major difference in their quality of play at home and when they leave

Without bench scoring they'll never make it to elite 8

They got stopped last year and it could happen again. We play then close.

Simply not true. Mulkey has said one of her championships at Baylor was won with primarily six players. And there has been many other examples in Men’s Basketball. It’s not ideal but it can be done. The only thing that worries me about no bench is foul trouble. If we do lose my guess is that will be the reason.

Sometimes you get the Bear, and sometimes gets you. LSU is now the hunted.

I agree. When we are hitting shots, it elevates everyone’s play.

The starters have only played 8 games as a unit. By March, Kim will have us peaking just in time for the NCAA tournament.

Its why Mulkey emphasizes defense so much. Shes knows some nights you will be off. Make no mistake about it, this is a great shooting team but that one night Kim wants the defense to be able to pick them up.
