Does he stick at RF or does he make the move to LF in the Bigs?

IMO, he has no where near the arm strength to play RF in pro ball.

Do they not save money by undersigning in the 12th? If they don’t, then I admit I’m completely wrong.

No, pools are determined by slots of picks in rounds 1-10. Anything over 125K in rounds 11-40 counts against the pool, but the 125 slot its self is not part of the initial pool total.

He is considered a plus fielder

This is not correct.

It's interesting the mets drafted both Duplantis and Jake Mangum.

I listened to several sports commentators discuss teams were down on him due to his lack of opposite field success. His spray chart is like 90% to the right side. I’m not saying he can’t, but he’s a pull hitter. If he had more power he would hit over the shift. If he was a power guy he could hit over the shift for homeruns but he’s not built like that

He can just not consistency or with much power. He’s mostly a pull hitter. Not saying he can’t or is a bad player. He needs to learn to go oppo with more regularity and power

Terrific intangibles but not a tremendous amount of raw tools.

Might be an average hitter but raw power doesn't project well and he is not an elite defender and has a well below average arm.

I think the guy is a flat out player but doesn't have a high end ceiling. I hope he makes it to the Big Leagues but he has a difficult road ahead of him.

Duplantis is a Great Tiger.
