Skylar is way to smart to be doing some of the things he does. Throwing up wild shots in traffic just because he is close to the paint has got to stop. Right now we really need him to, so sitting him isnt much of an option. In the post we have zero depth at all. Reath is not physical but he is pretty skilled scoring the ball imo. Epps doesnt even want to play inside and does so out of neccessity i think. Talent will upgrade a lot next year and wade will further coach up who we have coming back.

Say what you want, but both of these guys are far improved from last year. They are major contributors, play very hard and think about where we would be without them.

Mays is playing very well, he just has to cut out the 4-5 drives to basket a game, where he has virtually no chance of getting off a decent shot and ends up getting a charge or turning it over. He has to learn in those situation of backing it out or passing. I'm very confident this is being worked on as was the other parts of his game that have showed improvement over the past.

I'm enjoying the ride this year, at the end of last year, this years team looked to be worse than last years disaster of a team.

Bottom line is we are just missing a few pieces from this team to be a legit tournament team. That's being addressed in recruiting.

Mays will have his great nights and his off nights, but will be a guy you lean on as a junior/senior player. Mark it down.

Reath is what he is. He can explode on some nights in the right matchup but he's simply not a rebounder or rim protector. Bigby-Williams, Reid and even Emmitt Williams to an extent can rebound and protect the rim, they are on their way.

Wade is doing fantastic with what he was dealt. Waters is making this team a true threat to steal a tourney bid in the end but you have to remember we're still a band-aided team for the most part. We were picked DEAD last in the conference after going 2-16 last season and are already 2-2 this year. Even if we finished 7-11 or 8-10 that's a fantastic improvement with some truly big time talent coming in.

What are you talking about? Waters had 19 points 5 assists and 1 turnover. How is that an off game by any definition
stats (without context) can be deceiving.

Waters wasn't a factor for most of the game. He nailed a few 3-pointers late, which boosted his stat line, but he wasn't a factor for about 35 minutes of that game.

Mays is still trying to find his role. As a pg it’s a huge adjustment not having the ball in your hands very much. I actually wish we’d let him start a view possessions at 1 with waters at 2 just to get Mays in the flow. He’s going to play a huge part in our success/failure going forward

Sampson has been terrible in most aspects. His defense has been spotty, but he has been miserable offensively. Can't make an outside shot and can't make a free throw when fouled inside. The untimely turnovers in the Alabama game didn't help his case either.
