I have no idea what to say about receivers completely stopping on routes. I think we would have had 6 easy if Randle wouldn't have completely stopped and then tried to start again.
I think this is a direct reflection of how much confidence they have in the QB's accuracy. The question is: When did it start? Is it a hangover from last year??

Last year, I did noticed a high number of passes thrown behind the receiver.

WR's seem to be the weakest link this yr. They need to improve if this is going to be a championship yr.

For the last two years passes were thrown at their feet. Receivers are not used to passes hitting them in their hands........

People have completely redefined the word "srop". I watched the game with some non-LSU fans at a bar, and not one of them thought the receivers were dropping balls they should have caught (except for one Shep drop). So I went back and watched the replay on Geaux Zone and I'm sorry, I cannot find seven drops. I just can't.

I can find seven plays in which receivers jumped or laid out and didn't bring down the ball, but that stretches the definition of "drop" to the breaking point.

These aren't passes which are just off. These are passes which are simply not on target and the receiver makes an adjustment, but not enough of one. Could have the receiver aught it? sure. Should he have? No. Blaming the receivers absolves the QB for a bad pass. It's not all on the receivers.

The way people talk, we have the worst receiving corps in the history of football. If you believe our receivers are dropping 7-10 balls a game, you believe our receivers are among the worst in college football history. I simply don't see that.

From my review of the rebroadcast, I saw about three drops. Which is a lot, but the receivers also made some big catches as well. Everyone needs to improve, to be honest.

This. As previously stated, this is clearly a "no confidence in the QB" hangover from last year.

OBJ is the only true receiver on the team. Randle catches to much in his body. RS is not near as good as everyone thought. RS is hurting the offense because he has dropped too many 3rd down passes that would keep drives alive.

Looked like a couple receivers gave up on routes today. We are headed back to the Booty vs. Davey days.

If the Receivers in the next 2 games dropped the ball like yesterday, we will lose the game. So the ball was not thrown perfect, doesn't mean the Receiver can;t make the catch! I can tell some of u never played football. U are not going to get a perfect pass every time. but a good receiver will make the adjustment. U can't blame JL.

I THINK this was the pass that got caught in the wind. Wasn't it the first long pass??

Seems like Randle thought it was short, then saw that it was sailing farther than he thought and couldn't make the second adjustment fast enough.

Lee's placement is miles ahead of anyone we've had in a while. Just having the receivers only catch the balls that are gift wrapped is getting a little old.

THIS!!!

Lee is putting them where they can be caught - not every pass is going to be perfect. When I watch other games, the WRs are going to get these kind of catches. The Griffin kid in the Baylor game had more really bad passes than Lee, but his completion rate was much higher - those receivers just flat out catch the ball.

Lee is far more accurate - and he throws a more 'catchable' ball than JJ.

I did like the way JJ ran when he came in - if only he had the passing skills to go with his running, he would be great.

You will play in the style you practice.

Penalties, Drops, whatever....

If there is not discipline and accountability in practice, the problems will show up in the game.

There are many WRs that catch almost everything, no matter who throws it..others have the "dropssies", no matter who throws it.

It is usually not as much a matter of skill, but concentration, this comes from teaching and demands in practice.

Baloo, I can find 6 passes my sister would have caught. THESE ARE COLLEGE RECEIVERS. 2 hands on the ball must = a catch. PERIOD!
