It's hard to judge a team like this because beating a top 10 team is likely going to drop them out of the top 10; thereby, "weakening" your own strength of schedule.

i hope we can all agree arkansas and UTenn were not top 10 teams that year

I still think 03 and 06 were our most talented teams. and 86 team as well.

Our Special Teams is better this year. I'd still give a slight edge to 06 right now though.

03 v 06 has been debated a lot on the board

it usually leads to arguments over Bowe v Clayton and Dorsey v Lavalais

We may not have an elite DT, but I'll take Mingo and Montgomery. Those guys are scary fast and never stop.

Colt David kicked fgs that year, was his worst year. Unless you meant punting?

Tennessee, no. Arky was pretty damn good. Yea, they got pummeled by USC to start the year, but they went 10-2 in the regular season. Their losses were to #1 Florida, #3 LSU, #4 USC, and #7 Wisconsin in the bowl game. The 4 losses are going to leave you out of the top 10 though, you're right.

I mean, we had Shyrone, ALley, Justin, and Addai at RB. How much deeper can you get? And that is AB and JV in their prime. WR we had Devery Henderson and Michael Clayon. Two NFL WR's. Mauck made a roster. The line was a beast. Then defense.

Let this team do something on the field first before we start talking about how deep and talented they are.

Don't forget 86. Hodson. Davis. Martin, harvey Williams. that team was loaded.

outside of JR and Dorsey, I can see current players surpassing what the rest did in college...and possibly those 2 as well. Ford and Ware >> KW and Hester, Mo >> Chevis, Reid >> Steltz, RR >> Davis

yes the 06 team did but Dorsey couldn't take over a game the way Lavalais could. Dorsey had his best games with other linemen helping him out, Lavalais could take over all by himself.

yeah, auburn had

vincent: 2.7 ypc
alley: 1.6 ypc
hester: -1.3 ypc

florida: hester ran OK. alley/JV did not. hester had that 1 TD taken away via bulshit, also

He was there in 06 as a punter, but David and Gaudet kicked fgs.

Keiland missed fall camp and had been with the team for about 2 weeks when we played Auburn.
