Also, just realized he said the Parade Grounds is supposed to be "family friendly"... Since when? The PG has been the hub of frat/student tailgating, we moved from there after we graduated to get away from that scene, it's definitely not family friendly there

I just don't see a society of pot heads functioning very well. Alcohol is probably better for society (other than the car wrecks, large DUI fines, and other pitfalls) as the lubricant of business.

The legality I'll give you. Until it's legalized recreationally it is a crime, no question. However, alcohol is not safer to consume.

Opiates in moderation are the best of all worlds when it comes to drugs as far as being social and functional, without being a jerk or annoying, but unfortunately the saying that while opiates make a beautiful wonderful mistress but will in time become a cruel and merciless master is quite true and seems to be unavoidable though many think they are more self disciplined and have more self control than the rest of society, they sooner or later find out that they are no different and succumb to it's charms (unless something external blocks it from progressing such as a wife threatening divorce or some tragedy or other external event of some sort)
