I've been saying this all along... LSU wins at least 10 this year.

Chic FilA CHAMPIONSHIP
I am leaning toward this!!!!

Based solely on the pre-season writers' predictions that would be an over-achievement.

We tend to look at our team more favorable than the rest of the world. There is a definitely subjective bias.
Media picked us to #4 in the Division.
As the Times put it, "Two years removed from a BCDS title, LSU is no longer among the nation's or the conference's elite."
Wonder why - NOBODY on either our DL or OL is even in the preseaon All-SEC 1st or 2nd team. When was the last time that happened?
That my friends - is 100% on Miles. Miles picked every player and coach on this team.
We could pay 25% of his salary to get a coach that can accomplish mediocrity.
We can only hope that the last 2 years were not a long term trend.

I thought this was blatantly wrong. I mean, this prediction really has no backbone, either..nothing to support such a conclusion..

I mean, maybe if we lost both Lee AND Jefferson..but to have them both returning and presumably better?

No team is ever going to be anything but mediocre with average or below average trench play.
You can have the best RBs, WRs and Secondary but without Qb protection or DL pressure and sacks, you cannot be highly successful.
Very ironic that we have a former "hard-nose" MI OL as a head coach with such inferior trench play recently. You would think if he could do one thing, it would be to identify and develop the guys playing in the trenches.
Forget the stupid game management - the trench play is the biggest mystery IMHO.

I personally think that the O-line will be the biggest improvement this year..but guess we will have to sit back and see for ourselves

I have said 8-4. BUT if the o-line improves to the days of SMACK-YOU-IN-DA-MOUTH football they can go 10-2 easy!!!!

I sure hope so.

A bad a-- hard hitting defense and a dominating OL is what we need.

We have the skill players just need to stop getting pushed around up front.

I'd say Texas is more talented than LSU.

As luck would have it, TEX stayed in the B12.

It will be Miles' season to prove wrong those of us who have ZERO confidence in his ability to lead LSU on gameday. I truly hope he does, but am not holding my breath.

OU should be on this guy's list of "talented teams"

Real thing is knocking the opposing DL on their a--es.
Considering our below average play in the trenches recently, I am not sure that the internal comments mean much any longer.

It should be...but they have slipped just a bit in the past few years (not much, but just a bit).

LSU's a little more talented (again pure natural talent)

As an LSU fan that moved to Norman, OK...I can say that OU hasn't slipped up at all. The only reason you think this is because of the year they had last year...and that is because the best college quarterback never played and their All-American tight end was out for the season. If those two weren't injured...they would have played Alabama for the NC. They almost beat Texas without Sam Bradford, imagine if he played the whole game.

Just referring to the recruiting aspect. I think, as a program, they are just fine...better off than LSU to be honest.

14-0 and i'm not making jokes.

I really see no one the schedule who is capable of beating us except for maybe Bama and only because they pound the ball up the middle and we are kinda smallish on the inside.

Brantley will get that Welcome to the SEC type of game and I predict 3 pics, one for six.

Mallett didn't do to much if any real damage against us at all last year. We need to focus on stopping the run and that is IMO one of the most weakest problems on our team for many years.

The simple fact is we have more than enough talent to beat ANY team in college football by 21 points.

I really don't agree with this.
