If a team nails 23 3’s and shoots 60%, sorry but you’re losing that game. It’s unfortunate that they had to come in the Maravich to get that hot and break an SEC shooting record. But when a teams that hot, you have to try to keep pace, and hope they eventually cool down. That’s about all you can do

Elaborate? Does winning your conference make you a good coach? How about taking a team from terrible to doing it in 2 years?
You do understand he is off to be one of the greatest coaches in the history of the program?
Took a team that was terrible to the NIT in year 1. Then won the conference in year 2. Was second in the conference when the season was cancelled in year 3 and is currently second now.
I love how dumbass fans from other teams make comments like this. If you’re not, then you’re an Orgeron dick rider who is a scared little boy because he CANT COACH and now can’t even hire and who wants to take the focus away from the man behind the curtain. Orgeron CANT COACH EVEN THE DLINE.

Year 1. Won a game in the NIT with literally a makeshift talent lacking team.
Year 2 - HIS TEAM WENT TO THR SWEET 16. Should have gone further had he COACHED. If you don’t think he was helping his assistants while the tournament was happening, you’re stupid. That counts for him you fricking moron.
Year 3 - no post season
Year 4 - we will see.

Seems like after Petty starts 5/5 from 3, you give him a bump and get in his head a bit. I used to take pride in defense. I remember playing Brian Bridgewater when he was at Episcopal. Held him to 4 points one game.
We need people like Garret Temple that pride themselves on playing defense
