Only a clueless ULL fan would compare winning the SBC tournament with winning the SEC. The SBC is #10 in the nation and SEC is #1.

Get your weak arse smack out of here!

I saw the dogpile, it appeared that two players accidentally head-collided.

I swear I don't recall them dogpiling after some regionals.

LSU doesn't dogpile after regionals.

The only times LSU ever dogpiles is after the SEC tourney, super regionals, and Omaha.

The Sun Belt was pretty turrible this year. However, the conference is normally pretty good in baseball. The Sun Belt was the #5 conference in the nation last year with 4 teams playing in the post season. So let's not equate baseball in Sun Belt with the Ivy League. With all that being said, the SEC is the premiere conference in both football & baseball. Good luck in the regionals.

Evidently a lot of you did not catch the reference to Lane Mestepey .

A dog pile cost LSU one of the top pitchers in the US in 2003. Lane Mestepey, our ace, was injured in a dog pile and had to take a medical redshirt for the entire 2003 season. He never reached the level of his pre-injury pitching.

Sadly for you, yesterday was the last chance your guys will get to dog pile.

Wrong. No dogpile at 91 regionals. Just shook hands and got ready for Omaha. Expect to win the regional.

Geeze the Mestepey dogpile story gets so over-blown.

Mestepey missed the 2003 season with an arm injury after being over-worked in 2001 and 2002.

He came back in 2004 and was injured in the dogpile after the super regional when he CG shut out A&M.

He missed a total of ONE start. He was pushed back from game 1 to game 2 in Omaha.

If one is going to judge a conference then it helps to add a little historical data to the conversation.

Factually incorrect, fwiw.

...They are young men.

They worked hard.

They endured tough times.

They care and are should enjoy a great accomplishment.

What ever floats their boat. If they want to dog pile fine...if they don't fine too.

What I know is that I can't remember the Sun Belt ever being as incredibly shitty as it is this year.

I totally agree with your statement. It's not every day one wins a conference tournament championship.

He pitched fine until LSU's defense imploded.

That makes two of us. CUSA raided a couple decent baseball programs in FAU & FIU. The biggest difference was that decent programs like USA & Troy sucked balls this year. Both of those teams made it to regionals last year.
