Doesn’t the 11th amendment preclude the SEC from suing a state institution in fed court?

I’ll listen to comments but that is my general understanding of the 11th amendment.

AG Liz said something of the sort on moscona show today. Exact details are way over my head though.

My company had a contract dispute with a university in another state. We knew we would get hosed in the local courts of the university and we tried to throw a Hail Mary and get it to federal court.

We were slapped down immediately using the 11th amendment and it went back to state court.

As expected, we got hosed. This is exactly what will happen to the SEC in Louisiana state court.
