no one lets Matt Jones go the length of the field in 30 seconds to blow an SEC West title...

no one lets Chris Leak and Ron Zook outfox their defense at home to blow an undefeated season...

no one fails to cover a hail mary (with future NFL DBs) to blow a Cap One bowl win on his way out the door...

no one lets their arch rival come back from 24 points down to blow the biggest Iron Bowl ever...

no one gets embarrassed by non-BCS opponents like ULM, UAB, and Utah in the Sugar Bowl ....

...like Nick Saban

Thank you so much for putting all of those together in the same post.

Nick Saban is a really good football coach, but anyone that thinks he is the GOAT needs to read that list.

Somehow, the media has attached an aura of perfection around this guy, and it simply is not true.

The bad thing is, he seems to believe the aura.

and lsu is 30-1 in primetime games on the road. You can make the stats look good for both teams.

Miles and Saban have faced each other twice with both teams coming off a bye week...Miles won both

I think it's pretty clear that if you give Miles a lot of time to prepare for a game, you're basically fricked.

Whether it was a fake punt, a reverse to the tight end on fourth-and-short, a long touchdown pass, a two-point conversion, or a critical long third-down conversion, the Mad Hatter coached circles around Saban in LSU's win over Alabama.

I would like to know what the stats are for Miles in "rematch" games

Not many. Miles does not lose that often......

I can assure you, stats mean nothing in this game.

Whichever team gets up for this will win and that includes the coaches.

We might have to take a few chances to win this and that might be the difference.

Wasn't Bama a heavy favorite in 08?

I dont remember the line on that game...but I know one thing. LSU beat Bama up and down the field and if we dont turn the ball over like 4 or 5 times, LSU wins by 14 at least. But it went to OT.

Nick was very lucky in that game. If RP is our QB..he isnt so lucky. I remember us running at will against his defense...over 200 yards for sure.
