He better start!!

His only chance to start next year is at 2B. He's not good at 3B and 2B would be ideal for him if he can hit next year.

Braswell is much better. I’ve watched a bunch of games this season and I’ve seen Tanner make some errors on third. The reports have been out that this team stole 108 bases this year that’s twice as many as we stole. They will be getting on base and looking to advance. The defense has to be locked down and only the best out there.

I will take his bat over Braswells fielding. Kid at least makes contact

Not sure if he was playing in thinking they were bunting but I guarantee Braswell would've made that play there.

Sure, but you can’t say that without also saying he made a hell of a play in the 9th

Reaves hit the ball very hard both times up last night. Braswell pops up everytime. IF we face a RH pitcher, I think it would be a mistake at this point to not play Reaves. He has made every play hit to him in the last month. We need offense.

If we are behind then yes but he struggled with SEC pitching and he will struggle with whoever we play from here on out

I think Braswell is a lot better defensively, but he is killing us offensively. And if you are going to hide a bad defensive infielder, third is the place to do it. McDonald showed a stat this weekend that we are having our best year defensively in the history of the team. Can we afford a lapse or two at 3B?

I don't think there is a clear answer on this one. It just boils down to a judgement call for Jay,

I don't know if Braswell's defense is THAT much better and Reaves swung it really well last night with nothing to show for it. He barreled two balls to the warning track in RC and LC.

His defense is a significant drop off from Braswell. If his offense was comparable to Tommy White or even Ethan Frey then there would be a legitimate argument to place him over Braswell and then have Braswell be a late inning defensive sub. However, his offense is not good enough for that type of situation.

Now, if we are needing some offense mid/late in the game then he is a good substitution after Larson or Pearson pinch hits for Braswell. But there is a reason why majority of the time when he gets into the game its after a Larson or Pearson pinch hit for Braswell.

Keep Braswell in the lineup.

No problem pulling auto out Braswell in a game where you know you need offense like last night facing elimination down 5-1 when Braswell was pulled. Braswell should start and play when not facing elimination or when not trailing by a few runs.

This is the smart move, and it’s just what CJJ did.

He will get his chances to play in the Series. Braswell is a better fielder, but he will pinch hit and play at some point.
