Since so many reports from Dellenger , Higgins and Guilbeau saying that Aranda's stay here wasn't all about money, IMO there is little doubt whether it be from Alleva or somebody else within LSU that a bug was put in Aranda's ear that IF Orgeron fails next year then you are the man. So many on here say Aranda doesn't want to be a HC and I ask , how in the hell do you know that. Are you in his head? the answer is no, so none of us know that , but to conclude that he has no aspirations of becoming a HC is just absolutely balderdash since I would dare say that none of us on here posting knows Aranda personally. Although this to say I agree with you OP.

O has it made now - everything will be Miles or Canada's fault.
You're 100% correct. Like this year when everyone was blaming Miles for the lack of depth on the offensive line. Yet all the linemen that transferred out of the program after the 2016 season did it under o's watch, not Miles.

Or maybe he felt keeping a guy that was a problem would be more harmful to his success at LSU...cut ties and correct the problem
Hmmm.
O before Matt Canada
22-29 (.430)
O with Matt Canada
9-3 (.750)
Matt Canada as OC at FBS schools
83-68 (.550)
And who did you say the problem was?

This year wasn't close to a failure, especially with what we had to endure as a team.
Please explain what LSU had to endure this year that other programs don't.
Like getting blown out by a conference rival or losing to a SBC team. Or maybe you're talking about playing 5 conference opponents that had fired their head coach or were going to fire their head coach.
Or perhaps you're talking about how LSU only beat 2 teams with winning records, 1 team that finished 6-6 and the other 6 wins coming against teams with losing records.
Again, please list all the hardships that LSU had to endure as a team this past season.

His program at LSU is no different than Miles
yeah aside from the unprecedented win%,national titles, and sec titles.

Such a simpleton is it a fact that he will not succeed at LSU or just your opinion based on his tenure at a program not dedicated to football over 10 years ago?
you dont know shite about football and have already admitted i do.
coaches are judged by their pasts.
there is nothing that proves O isnt the coach he was at ole miss besides coming into a very talented roster

Under Miles we managed to go 12 years without losing to MSU by 30 or losing to a Sun Belt team.
Yeah, no different than Miles.

Idk why you don't like ed orgeron, but you're going to be very miserable.
because he isnt qualified to run Kentucky's defense.
quote:
Even if when we are successful under O, you will be bitter bc you just don't like him personally for some reason
personally i have never attacked him. he may be the nicest guy on earth. he isnt qualifed to be the HC of a p5 program. for 29 of his 32 year career no ad has thought enough of his coaching to give him a coordinators job, let alone a HC job.
and when lsu wins im happy. during games i cheer my arse off.
quote:
Just be an LSU fan dude, shite. Pull for the tigers.
i am and i do which is why it upsets me to see our clown ad hire someone that Vandy wouldnt interview for DC.
quote:
Orgeron is our coach, had a 9-4 season this year that could have been better, but could have been worse as well.
quote:
Give the man a chance, 9-4 is as good as it gets at some schools. We did that with serious question marks at both lines and at qb
holy shite. people that get paid to evaluate talent says we have the 6th most talented roster in cfb. i dont care about some bullshite rant myth created after our staff had historic losses
quote:
Just chill out and if orgeron isn't the guy, then it will happen, but there is no reason not to be supportive of this team and be positive going into next season right now
What?
in 1 season this unqualified coach took the 2nd most talented roster in the sec against the easiest schedule in over 20 years and lost 4 games. He then parts way with his handpicked OC in less than 12 months.
so next year we have new qb, new rb, new wrs all learning a new system against a hard schedule AND YOU THINK THERE IS NO REASON TO NOT BE POSITIVE?
Youre the type of fan that made it ok for alleva to hire a 55 year old career dline coach that has never in his life proven he can run a successful side of the ball let alone a successful program.

the program O is running managed to have the worst loss in the 100+ year history of lsu vs msu, but yeah no different.
Roger and trout both said top 15 finishes were underachieving under miles but now since theyve bofh publicly claimed O is a better coach than miles they will excuse anything.
hell roger in this thread said troy is more talented than lsu. its pathetic

the highlight of this season was beating a 4 loss auburn team.
8 of our 9 wins were against teams with 6 losses.
after the auburn win the next highlight was not letting Aranda leave.

I get all that, but tell us how you really feel Rick.
You just have to laugh and shake your head at some of these guys. The guy you were responding to, in other posts, talked about all the stuff LSU had to endure this past season and that 9-4 is a good season and lots of other programs would kill to have a record like that.
Yet mention how we've been getting those kind of win/loss seasons since 2000 and their response is that the program was trending down and it was stale.

so you didnt say 2012 and 2013 were underachieving?
exactly. just stop while youre getting curb stomped.
you have the audacity to say a team with ZERO classes in the top 95 is more talented than LSU.

some how losing more games in 2017 tha 2016 and having the worst recruiting class(as of now, but O usually closes strong) in a while is the program headed in the right direction.

0 doesn't realize he's actually a football coach half the time.
wakes up some mornings ready to set the world on fire with amway, then gets a call from joe wondering where the hell he's at.
